You are trying to make a point that doesn’t actually make any logical sense

No this front office will prioritize winning over Dysons development. Your form if arguing is just making assumptions of what I said. I never said they wouldn’t prioritize development of their rookies- you said that. I said if Dyson does not show any offensive improvement this year- they will not prioritize his development over winning. You’re a horrible person to argue with because you literally just assume something i never said and act like thats what I said.

Dyson is absolutely going to have to earn his minutes. I think where the disagreement is, is how good does he need to be on offense to get those minutes. It's not like the team will be fully healthy all year and only play 8 players in the regular season. To me the question isn't can Dyson move up in the rotation and beat out Jose for minutes, it's can he fend off Naji. If he can, he'll get regular minutes and develop. If he can't, he better spend all of his free time working on his shot.

Bro in 1 page you said

- we shouldn’t prioritize developing rookies

- we should trade our rookies for a chance to contend with 35 y/o CJ as our 3rd best player

- you have little confidence in Dyson but also think we can trade him for a “playoff ready piece”

- we brought in CJ primarily to contend (even though we weren’t even a playoff team) and not to develop a winning culture or help Zion/ BI develop leadership qualities

Beyond this year… What about 5 years from now when CJ is 40 y/o? This whole convo is about “not missing the window with CJ” and that is completely irrelevant to anything our FO is trying to accomplish.

For the first time we are developing a roster and culture to not only help with injuries but to sustain for years

The problem here is that you think CJ is 1 of our core future pieces and he is not. He is a bridge to get us to the next level. He is here to help us develop our actual future core pieces and have a chance of being a contender if our core pieces mature and develop in time.

CJ won’t be on our roster in 4 years unless he’s making 10-20 mil. And if things go very well he also may not be on our roster in 4 years. So no you don’t trade rookies that can have a 15+ year career for a window to win with CJ. We aren’t making any moves or decisions to build around CJ.

what are you talking about? We signed CJ to long term extension in his 30s. BI is a free agent in 2 years. Griffin and Willie need to win and make playoffs these next two years. If not they’re gone. They’re basically going in for two years to see how far this core goes. Dyson’s development will not play into that. Contending for many years??? Lol how long have you been a pelicans fan???

Yikes to all of this. If you just want a 2 year window and expect us to be shite after that then just hop off the bus now my dude. Terrible fan.

Yikes. You’re an absolute moron. You think Griffin has a lifetime contract to turn this trash team into contending for years to come. We aren’t the Miami Heat. If we get into the playoffs this year that would be amazing with this squad with how deep the west is. Its fans like you who are delusional thinking we’re building some great culture and have some deep great team that develops young guys again like the Heat. Keep eating the shite Griffin keeps feeding you and then be disappointed when we’re barely surviving in the deep western conference. Wake up and watch basketball outside the pelicans. Watch how Dyson continues to turnover the basketball and Hawkins throwing up clankers like they are in this preseason game and then come here and say oh they’re young and they’re developing. Maybe they just suck because we drafted bad.

You think Dyson is our next CJ and will replace him. You’re absolutely delusional and need to actually watch basketball and stop daydreaming. The effort tonight is embarrassing on another level and you’re sitting here thinking about building a contender years to come???? Wake the frick up man and stop smoking that weed.

We aren’t making moves to build around Dyson either!!!! You are an absolute idiot. Dyson is not a part of this core. Hes a role player at best. And honestly thats if everything goes right for him.
