My point was about stats+context vs empty stats. You clearly ignored. As you have everyone else's points. Whats more likey, Jrue scoring less than 20 in those let's say 10-12 games or Steph missing so many 3s his percentage drops that significantly? You're infatuated with Jrue and more of a fan of him than the team seemingly. That's fine to each their own. We can agree to disagree.

I would maybe be more open minded if you gave more sound reasoning other than just stating that his stats are empty. Are Ingrams stats empty? What about Zion? Is this just all eye test stuff? Do you have anything to back up your point other than you not liking how he looks when he plays?

My point is there are many games we won this year that we don’t win if we don’t have him. There are games where he was our best player by far. Using the contextual stats argument is a cop out if there’s nothing to back it up

I sure hope the way we used Zion tonight was deliberate based on Al's frustration from that Rockets game.

Results weren't good but I loved the process. Instead I'd constantly trying to give it to Zion in the post we gave him the ball and let him go. He'll average 27+ppg going forward if we use him like we did tonight, very positive potential development imo making him our #1 option.

That Beal wouldnt bring to this team what you think he would. I also dont like paying a steep price when after multiple attributes you have to say "if he feels like it" or "if he cares enough." Behibd Zion and Ingram you need a solid defender, not a guy who can play ok D when he wants to.

The guy is literally the focus of the opposing team night in and night out and is fourth in the league in scoring. Has had more 35 point games in the last 7 than BI has had all season. Can just decide to chase fifty on a whim.

Imagine Ingram during the prior Celtics game with half the team out and everyone focusing on him and how he struggled, now imagine a player getting that treatment every night and producing the fourth best points total in the league.

I have high hopes for Ingram and Zion, but there is no way they surpass Beal offensively in the next two years. Put him on this team and we threaten the conference finals next season, championships over the next five years.

As for D, you know our record with Jrue since coming back? 4-3, you know our record when Jrue was our? 4-3. If one player with elite defense was that much of a difference maker you would expect a better outcome. Jrue makes us better defensively but what he takes away elsewhere has seemingly offset a lot of what he brings. I’ll take a guy that will suck defenders away from Zion and play average to slightly above average d over a guy that plays elite defense but can’t be counted on to perform night in and night out and cost us crucial blocks of the game offensively. And three years younger just entering his prime

He's a 4th option/6th man to me. A guy who if he scores great, but you really shouldn't depend on him to come through offensively. If he wasn't making 20+ mil I'd rather play Hart over him.

3/10...so only 1 away from 40% for the game.
Yes, he sometimes takes bad shots. He should continue taking good ones.

The problem is the Pels have no answer to teams packing the paint besides Ingram and bombing away from 3 hoping they're hot.

Honestly Zion is a big part of the problem because he's so raw. People don't want to hear it but even though this team has enough pure talent to catch the 8 seed, they many not have enough experience to put it all together. But fighting for that 8 seed will help them get the experience they need to turn into a team nobody wants to play next season.

That's all you can ask for with this team, even before the season.

Yeah it’s painful at times but I really like the direction this team is going for the future. I’m hopeful that we can keep everyone together.

If we can just make it to our last 15 games like 3-4 games out then I think we have a shot. Of course we’d probably have to go 14-1 during that stretch but the schedule is certainly amenable to that.
