Zion was +18

That is a crazy stat.

Yep he was the best pels player today but SVG doesn't play him in OT...Explain SVG.

We decided to stop running plays with 4 minutes left and drained the clock just doing an Ingram iso. It was so predictable. And the team clearly needed a timeout, they were tired and lost and we left two on the table.
Yep. I think Ingram may have scored on the 1st one or 2, but the offense basically went to shite the moment we did that, it was way too early.

Fair, so first ~2 mins. Still, the fact we’ve got to start OT without our #1 overall pick because he’s tired sucks

and we just didnt want to use a timeout to get him in
Which is silly imo.

Having Zion in is more important than 1 timeout.

I guess Stan just assumed there would be a stoppage

I don't think they were expecting approximately 3 minutes of game time to run off without a single stoppage of play.

How do we lose the game by 20 points when Zion is out of the game?

I think the one positive is this team already looks like they could make the playoffs and we aren’t even playing well, or NEAR our ceiling

Because Zion played really good defense today, and arguably effected the game more than any player on the floor

Three things that pissed me off tonight:

1) Bledsoe. He really isn't that good.
2) The stupid fricking turnovers at the end of the 4th
3) Having Zion sit t the scorers table for 2 minutes and not come in til like a minute left in OT.

We ad the game but fricking blew it big time. Shouldn't have happened. At all.

I'm just glad to see Zion with a great +/-

He had by far the worst net ratings on the team, at something like -24.7 through the 1st 6 games.

This. We’re not playing cleanly AT ALL and we have a winning record.

I'm a broken record, but overtime DOES NOT HAPPEN if we just use our timeouts and advance the ball in the last 30 seconds.

Stan Van Gundy owning this loss: "I screwed up."

Talks about how he should have called a timeout down the stretch.

Stan Van Gundy wanted to bring Zion Williamson at the 3:00 minute mark of OT because he was gassed, but acknowledges that didn't work out.

"A lot of bad game coaching decisions by me tonight."

Zion played pretty much the entire 4th quarter. SVG was right to rest him in OT but he should have called TO to get him back in the game.

Good to see Stan own it. It doesn't take away the L but accountability at the top is important.

We are going to win a stupid amount of games if we can get just decent 3pt shooting from JJ and Melli.

It would be nice to reduce the turnovers, but damn if those guys can come in and hit some open 3s that would be huge.
