Willie is only 4 games under .500, which is truly amazing when you consider his start last season. If we finish out this season the way we are playing it now, Willie will be the first Hornicans coach to be over .500 for their career since Paul Silas (who only coached one season).

Willie Green
60-64 - .484

Stan Van Gundy
31-41 - .438

Alvin Gentry
175-225 - .438

Monty Williams
173-221 - .44

Jeff Bower
34-39 - .466

Byron Scott
203-216 - .484

Tim Floyd
41-41 - .500

Paul Silas
47-35 - .573

Pretty fricking wild that basically every coach we’ve had has a sub .500 record, but I guess I shouldn’t be surprised.

Not to derail, but is this only as NO or just as the Pelicans?

Did we lose full history when we sold the name to Charlotte?

Problem is that each coach post-Floyd had at least one period of rebuilding. And hitting the peaks of certain coaches didn’t necessarily last long enough to offset the losses.

Case in point - Byron Scott

We reached the playoffs numerous times under him including a run as the 2nd seed but there were some bad seasons to start his time here and he got fired shortly into one season because he had apparently lost the team.
