There is no way the Nets trade Bridges for BI right?!
Pretty crazy stat I learned.

Last night BI had his 7th 40 point game of his career.

Mikal Bridges has 6 40 point games in the last year, less than a year to be exactly.

Comparing their stats, it looks like he's just streakier than BI, because he has more 40 point games but less points per game while taking more shots per game. BI also gives you almost 3 more assists per game (5.7 to 3.0) but very similar turnovers (2.4 to 2.3).

Oh, and BI also does a lot more switching defensively. Bridges pretty much never defends 4s or 5s, whereas BI switches onto bigs regular.

Basically, y'all a bunch of damn fools acting like Bridges is a simple upgrade from BI.

Oh, and BI also has better defensive metrics than Bridges:

DBPM: -0.7 to -1.1

What about VORP? 1.5 to 0.8

Win shares per 48? .128 to .077

By pretty much all metrics, Brandon Ingram is a better player than Mikal Bridges.

Better defensively by a wide margin. Basically equal offensively. Not as good of a passer, but can score more and more efficiently than BI.

MIka's 1st 27 games as the #1 option he put up 26ppg on 60+% TS%, something BI has never done over any 27 game span of his career. ..again, Bridges did that in the 1st 27 games as a main dude on a team.

And again, defense is the difference between a guy you hope is average on defense and a guy who can be a legit DPOY candidate if in a role that doesn't require him to be a #1 on a team.

It's an upgrade.

Not to mention availability. Dude is an ironman.

BI misses games when Naji love taps him.

.

Based on what? Because advanced states say BI is better defensively by a significant margin.

This, offensive rebounding, and shot value are pretty much the only things in his favor.

And even with him taking "better shots," Ingram is still a much more efficient offensive player across the board.

You have to factor in other things like him knowing his role. I don't think he's demanding the ball at the end of games and would be fine spotting up for a kick out from Zion.

And I don't give a frick what any advance stats say this year. The entire NBA knows Bridges is a much better defender. I haven't watched him this year. Maybe he's having a down year defensively. But I'll give a dude who has made several All Defense teams over BI on that end.

Has BI ever come close to this?

Let's say Bridges is a 9 defensively and BI a 5.

Then I'd say Ingram is a 8 offensively and Bridges a 7.

Factor in availability, role and salary, and it's not close who I prefer.

Aren't you the dude who was acting like you had to teach people about Murray the other day, then when you got proven to not know what you were talking about, you got real upset?

Yep, that's you. But tell me more about how I won't recover from a post of yours when i'm cool as can be but you keep flipping out when someone proves you wrong...

Pels Talk is a cesspool nowadays, congrats, you're not helping with that.

You can't just make shite up. You're not building a player on NBA2k. I have actual, documented stats and metrics that objectively show that BI has been better than Bridges defensively and significantly better offensively.

You can argue availability, but the saying Bridges is better defensively is demonstrably false.
