It's like a fraternity. Wouldn't any other fraternity member be more likely to hire someone from their fraternity? Sure they would. I don't see an issue with it. It is what it is.

"for whatever reason..."?

Maybe they were good candidates? Maybe they interviewed well?

Pretty sure every New Orleans head coach, except Gentry, was hired by a white guy. Do people think GMs would really put their own job on the line to do a guy a favor?

i'm not saying it was a bad thing or a bad hire, but new orleans has had more black coaches than any other team in the league over the past 15 seasons. Silas, Byron, Monty, and Al. shite, those may be 50% of the black coaches in the league in that span

They should've hired Tom Thibodeau or at least tried, the guy won games with his star player injured

At least he is taking the year off. We may be able to lure him back next year and get a new GM to boot.

There 5 black coaches in the NBA. 4 black GMs. Every black GM has a black coach. Only black coach without a black GM

So is Mitch Kupchak black or is Byron Scott white?

If we had hired Thibs and had all of these camp injuries the hysteria over coaching would have started even sooner.

But at least we'd have a good coach.

If this season goes like its looking, everybody's gone.

I wonder who's gonna hire Thibs though with the entire league playing fast and chucking 3s.

Champions don't typically follow the fads. They either create them or stay the course.

I like Thibs and think he's gonna make whoever he goes to better. But he aint exactly champion. Thibs got fired for staying the course and not adjusting.

As soon as we sign our HOF point guard, you'll be changing your tune about Uncle Al

Nash, Paul, and Steph still send Gentry checks to this day. Lots of people don't know that.
