Griff should include that article as an attachment to the max offer he gives BI. "This is what 'most NBA execs' said about you, and THIS is what we think about you. Let's work together to make them look stupid."

I would be extremely cool with this.

He hasn’t even hit his prime yet and we are going to want him under contract in his prime. He is already an All-Star and has the work ethic to be great, it’s really important to keep him and let him be happy. Lonzo’s next contract will be the most interesting of anyone on the team, he is getting better and could be expensive.

Maybe one day Zion will have that kinda pull especially since NOLA is a much more appealing city than Cleveland

the winter in cleveland is the main advantage of new orleans.

cleveland has far more access to culture. world class orchestra.

We really don't want to make the same mistake Utah made with Hayward. They told him to go get another offer and Charlotte stepped up to the plate forcing Utah to match. Gordon was soured by the lack of faith from Utah's management, played his 2 season, and then bolted to Boston.

If you go back a little further, you don’t want to make the same mistake we already made with EG. We told him to go get a max offer and he did with the Suns and then he told us not to match. He then became a little bitch about it and it ended up screwing the team his entire time here.

Dell was right that he wasn’t a max player but it only takes one team. Better believe there will be several teams trying to sign him to a max so you either offer it to him or plan to trade him if yuh disagree.

This dude just said Cleveland has more culture than New Orleans. New Orleans is famous for its culture and Cleveland is ALWAYS everyone's example of a city with no culture.

- You're either right to bet on a player, in which case you go all in and max them out for as long as you can,

OR

- You should trade them even if it's for peanuts. Because saving $3-$5 million won't help if you bet wrong it's an Andrew Wiggins or Eric Gordon.

Being cheap doesn't mitigate risk in these cases, you're either right or wrong, there is no middle ground. So don't be wrong.

How is a top 10 scoring SF, who shoots 40% from 3 and plays good defense not worth a max contract in today's NBA?

True but to me how he plays as a #2 option to Zion is completely up in the air. In some ways I feel like he almost deserves to be the #1 option on a Zion-less team.

They don’t occupy the same space right now.
They don’t share the same weaknesses.
They both are willing passers.
Williamson doesn’t need the ball to be effective.
Ingram has proven to create space with his 3 point shot.

Ingram occupies 15 feet out while Zion occupies 15 feet in.

Their games will compliment each other as they continue to play together.

This idea that Ingram can’t be a complementary piece for Zion is absurd.

It’s going to take a couple of years before Zion develops into a primary ball handler/ shooter, and creator that could change things but I’m willing to bet that would be beneficial to both guys.

There should absolutely be no reservations in offering the max to Ingram. None.

Ingram at a max is a no brainer for New Orleans.

You have to be one of the worst trolls around to post something so ignorant as that.

Ingram is 22 and he is showing 50/40/90 potential plus he has the skills to be a solid defender. Great fit with Zion.

Pay him what he wants.
