0-2 and historically bad defense ever since he decided to make the news in something other than basketball. It’s a pattern with this guy. Hopefully he doesn’t rub off on Zion and the rest of the guys with his wild off the court takes.

I've hated watching the 3-point defense all season but everyone keeps saying that it's the same defense that Milwaukee uses. Maybe we need to take into account that the East sucks balls and the West is full of teams that can shoot, and the reason the Bucks are winning games is because they're better than everyone else in their conference.

Meh, I’d rather take my chances with 3s than getting driven on in the paint and getting in foul trouble. Tonight was an anomaly; most teams won’t be that hot from outside.

I’m good either way as long as Kira keeps getting minutes. If we lose a bunch, perfect. This is the year to acquire a player with length and athleticism. Lose the best 10 for all I care.

The thing is its 2021. This generation ain't missing shoot around 3 pointers. They been shooting them their whole lives. What they haven't been doing is creating post moves and shooting mid ranges. Idk man I really think someone should zig while the rest of the league is zagging if that makes any sense to yall. I'll hang up and listen.

If you read between the lines, he clearly thinks it's a personnel/effort issue, not a scheme issue.
Porzingis may be the single worst matchup for this team in the entire league - it's just so hard with Adams in the lineup to defend the 3 point line.

He may not be wrong, but these are the players you have. If whatever trade happens doesn't change things, he's going to have to consider some other strategy.

A 100% healthy Adams probably wouldn't have been any difference. Dallas exploited the defense no matter what the personnel was. We don't defend bigs beyond the 3 point line. It's no coincidence that Porzingis was launching deep 3s with no hesitation all night. They knew our bigs would drop to prioritize the paint and we got destroyed. And by the time we adjusted, it was too late. They were already hot and in rhythm.
We can win games when the opposing star plays have big games, but we absolutely can't win games when their secondary guy also has a monster game. It's fine if Doncic and Lavine have big games but it's absolutely not okay if Porzingis and Colby White also have big games. The Pelicans defense gets exploited by good offensive teams. It's the story of the season.

our defensive rating (high number is bad) is currently sitting at 112.6
last year it was 109.4
year before 110.4
year before 105.6
year before 104.9
uncle al's first year 107.3
we fired uncle al cause his teams didnt know what the word defense meant. yet we hired a guy who managed to make our defense somehow worse than any year under alvin. obviously the sample size is only 25 games so far but not a great start from the walrus
