I know he blames that on some of his nagging knee issues, but that man did seem to go on to a great career after that surgery. I think it sucks we won’t have Zion for a little bit but he’s going to bounce back to even better than he was before the surgery.

Chris Paul did in 2010, and he recently said that the biggest regret of his entire career is not taking his rehab for that serious enough.

Westbrook had 3 surgeries on his in 2013 and Jimmy Butler has one in 2018 to remove a piece.

Lonzo Ball as well. Not sure why we don't bring him up.
quote:
“They’ve got to take it out,” Lonzo told LaVar. “They said they could repair it but it would take me six months to get back. But, if they just take it out it will only be six weeks.”
It’s important to understand that Lonzo didn’t get his meniscus entirely removed like some NBA players have done in the past, including Dwyane Wade and Russell Westbrook. Instead, he got the damaged portion of his meniscus taken out in order for him to be ready by training camp.
While it will get him back on the court sooner in the short-term, it’s unclear if there are any long-term benefits for him doing this.
It’s also worth noting that Ball said the recovery time would be six weeks.

Anyone of the players referenced 285lbs with over 40inch vertical. Zion will have to lose 20lbs so his knees can withstand his landings after explosive leaps
