these guys are going to have to get all the scoring they can in. Maybe Marco starts but Thornton gets the lions share of the minutes. I realize Belinelli is instant offense, just add water, but come on...

Right, that's what I'm saying.

I think you took something someone said the wrong way. You seem to be getting defensive over Thornton when he hasn't been attacked.

I guess. I'm not convinced that with a little more experience Marcus can't shoot 38% which is Belinelli's career average. I liked getting rid of Wright but I mean, I don't think this guy makes the team all that much better.

He's probably just a 10 - 15 mpg role player, but when he's out there he'll spread the floor and hit open shots. That's already a huge improvement over the 12 mpg you were playing Wright. He also makes it easier to trade Peja without requiring a shooter in return.

I'm one of those that likes Marcus off the bench. I still think he's a little undersized on defense. I like the spark he brings when he comes in. Let's let things unfold and see what the roster looks like a little later.

Plus, as of now, he would probably have to play some minutes at point, so having him start with CP would just wear him out. Just another reason we need another point guard.

I'm positive they will have another point guard on the roster.

Belinelli shot .40 and .39 percent the years before. Last year he shot .38 percent to MT5's .37.

In limited time Belinelli did that. He has taken 330 career 3pt shots and hit at 38.8%. Thornton for his career has 313 shots from 3pt, hitting at 37.4%.

Not anything to write home about, as far as this difference goes. 1.5% when looking at a little over 300 shots isn't gonna tell you much

As was stated earlier, someone has to create and drive to the hole off the bench. MT5 is the only one that has shown that capability so it would make since for him to come off the bench. Belinelli and peja can't really play together since they do the same shite.

I would expect that, too. I'm just pointing out that Thornton played some point last season (obviously b/c of injuries) and until we sign another PG, its CP and MT.

Also, you got some scoop on who?

don't sell MT5 short.

the dude isn't just a shooter.
he's the most hustling dude on the team.

the head of steam he gets on a fast break is scary.

i would say mt is more of a ben gordon type guard. always going to be a 6th man type who can really fill it up. bellini might start but definitely wont get as many minutes as mt.

That's an excellent comparison. Hopefully he's more of a Bulls' era gordon and not a pistons' era gordon

Yes, unless the FO gets another SG down to New Orleans. Thorton is a good shooter, however we are kind of undersized at the guard position.

Marco's got some decent size, so it's not so bad. Of course, out bigs are also kind of small so basically this is a small to average sized team
