Yep, SOS from players and coaching staff. It has to be coaching, we've changed players regularly but have the same coaching.

I’ll never understand going into this season with new management but keeping a lame duck Willie Green on the last year of his deal. If you’re gonna start over then start all the way over.

He may not make it to game 20, there’s a reason they didn’t let Borrego go to the Knicks.

Three point made shots will be at lower percentage compared to last year with this team.

We really need more size. It was extremely evident tonight.

Everyone will look small against Houston when they run a lineup with the shortest guy at 6'7.

We need size and shooting. We’re a small and poor shooting team which is like the worst combination in today’s NBA

Houston had Segun running piint at one time. They have about 6 wings on their team between 6'8 and 6'11

I guess I agree for this year, if your goal is a championship. But this should be a fun year and a good building block with a decent future ahead. Zion looks healthy and explosive, Fears has great potential and is fun to watch, Queen is an experiment that we can watch hopefully develop, Peavy can be a decent piece, as can Yves. Trey could potentially turn in to a superstar. It’s interesting to see how Dejounte returns from this his injury. Herb will always be a fan favorite, along with Jose. We aren’t bogged down with big contracts on older vets who are what they are and we aren’t married to the head coach long term. We can potentially be a 6-8 seed if Z stays healthy, and we should at least be in playoff contention for most of the season. I, for one, have some hope and am looking forward to this season and this game did nothing to quell that.

True, worst combination for basketball. Yet we continue to pick up wings shorter than 6'8".

Agree. Fears showed some promise against Houston’s scrubs but this is a 25 win team as structured.

I don't mean this in a bad way against christians because I am one, but Willie is the coach because Gayle likes Willie as a good christian. People act like Gayle doesn't do anything with the team but we have a GM hired with no search because Gayle is friends with him and a coach because Gayle likes his values. Neither of those are legit reasons to hire someone for a basketball position.

I cannot fathom watching last nights game against a top Western team and feeling disheartened.

Most teams aren’t going to start one 6’ 7” guy and a bunch of trees. Looney is built to counter Adams types. Fears looked absolutely incredible vs real NBA players. Everyone looked physically improved after an injury riddled season (TM3, Zion, Herb).

I’m pumped man. Let’s roll that basketball out for the regular season and get this thing going.

Does she not realize that this team winning is in her best interest? Or does she just not care?

Like hypothetically, would she turn down a A+ head coach because he was Muslim? Even though that coach could get this team to say 50+ wins?

It’s not impossible to build a winning franchise in a small market. Look at the Spurs and the Thunder. You need ownership that cares about winning and we don’t have that.

Fears looked really really good. TMIII kinda had a quiet night, 1 for 5 from 3. But yea overall as a team that was not a performance to be ashamed of. Houston is a good team.

I think she cares like she cared about her interior decorating business years ago or she cared about the brand change from Dixie Beer.

Lady Gayle is in over her head, has no business acumen whatsoever. It is no accident her franchises quickly drifted to the bottom once Tom passed. They will continue to flounder toward the league bottom until she sells the teams.

First time they rolled out that unique lineup as well. It's an historically long lineup that's never been done. So people shouldn't expect the team to have a counter on the fly like that. The offense went toe to toe even though they trouted out FOUR 6'11+ player lineups. I liked what I saw for the most part.
