He’s been a terrible offensive player as a pro and really hasn’t gotten better

Expectations on this guy have been weird

I know that. I mean contract wise. If we expect Naji to get a deal, Hart to get a deal, still have Bledsoe?, NAW, and Lewis needing minutes, where do all these players fit in?

They're not going to rush him back to play 2-3 games unless we in the playoff hunt.

We won't be in the playoff hunt

The more that I think about this, the more likely it seems that this is the end of Josh Hart's time in New Orleans.

They're probably bringing him early to get a head start on the offseason program.

Not a chance unless someone throws him a buttload of money.

Griff loves Josh

You know everyone is pointing at Didi’s offensive numbers as a reason for concern, but let’s remind ourselves that Lamelo also had terrible efficiency in the NBL, so it’s not a given DIDI will come over and not shoot well here too. Think about all the wide open looks from 3 and cutting lanes he will get due to Zion’s tremendous gravity. I’d bet on Didi’s fg percentages improving in the nba due to the quality of looks he will be getting. The ft percentage is a bit concerning, but he does not shoot a ton of ft’s so it’s very possible he is more like a 75% ft shooter and we just need a larger sample size to judge.

I think the timing, as was stated earlier, is to get him with the team to start assimilation for offseason & next year

As for expectations, if you plan to make a big swing this offseason, you need cheap depth. and specifically for this team, perimeter defenders. which Didi has been making a name for himself on that end.

he's got good shooting form so hopefully that will come around. and after watching him in the summer league 2 years ago, I remember my biggest take-a-way was that Didi was always making the right play (and he barely spoke English at the time).

I don't think Didi's arrival says anything about Hart or Marshall because I think those guys are all needed

I’m told Didi Louzada arrived in the US this morning but, as @_Andrew_Lopez and I noted in our ESPN story, his contract with the Pelicans isn’t expected to be official for about a week due to the NBA’s testing policies.

Will SVG even let him off the bench?
