Way too early to judge rookies.

No defense, overrated offensive skillset. Some of the fan base was really pushing for this kid during the draft. Supposed to be one of the most nba ready offensive skillset based on his limited college tape and high school tape. Looks to be another inefficient one way player that was over drafted.

5 games bro. And yes, that’s enough for me to not like his game.

Doesn’t matter. He is who he is. He’s not going to suddenly change the way he plays his game. He likes to play with the ball in his hands. Pretty much useless playing offball. Terrible body language. And has questionable IQ. Take tonight for example, he loves throwing up floaters. Now one would imagine you’d stop throwing these floaters up like you’re Austin Rivers if they ain’t going in, but no.. the guy continues to throw up 7-8 floaters tonight and clanking them over and over.

I’m absolutely glad we don’t have that type of player. When his shot ain’t falling, it’s disturbing to see his body language. When you compare that to NAW, he is confident even when he struggles. That’s a huge thing.

This is way, way, way too early.

Plus, a lot of a player's flaws are heightend when you're on a pretty weak team. Put him on the floor with Luka and Porzingas and suddenly he'd look a lot better.

If you're cool with putting your thoughts out there with no fear of potentially being dead wrong, go right ahead.

Nope. I seen all I need to see with him. He’s not a player that compliments a guy like Zion. Don’t care to wait and see if he pans out or not because his game will never fit here. My only reason for watching Cav games this season to see what his game is like and if we missed out on a player that would mesh with Zion. I’ve reach my conclusion.

It’s not that difficult to see. Turn on any game that Ja Morant has played and you can even narrow it down to the Chicago game where he struggled and you’ll end up saying wow, this guy has a great feel for the game.

The staff did a great job passing on the kid.

Dodged a bullet for a guy who’s a project and another guy who’s shooting 25% from the field. Yeah we really dodged a bullet if you wanna base your opinions as facts off of 5 games. Such a dumb take OP

One guy was taken at 5 and is starting. The other was taken at 17 and is playing limited minutes Off the bench. Then we also got a another project with high upside at 8.

So yes we dodged a bullet by trading down instead of taking a guy like Garland at 4.

Garland has as much “upside” as Hayes and Naw. Garland missed all of last year, didn’t play summer league, and barely played preseason. 5 games in and he’s still shooting better than both and contributing more than both of our guys. I like our rookies a lot but my point is this take is retarded with only 5 games into the season. Wait at least until all star break to say something. You trying to predict something before others and hoping you’re right doesn’t make you smart.

First of all, we were never going to take Garland, so there's no way to say that "we dodged a bullet."

Our front office had zeroed in on Culver and Hayes as the guys that we believed were the best options at #4, but Griffin was sure that one of them would still be available at #8, which is why he made the trade.

So, the basic premise of this thread is bad.

But, yeah, determining that a PG isn't any good after five games is even worse.
