He is just pointing at JV, but Jax and Billy aren’t far behind, they just barely play…Larry’s WAR is actually pretty good.
Which underscores my recurring point about the gaping hole we have at PF when Zion is out. Larry is our most mobile big and can play some 4, but he can’t play both the 4 and 5 at the same time.
IMO the total lack of a backup 4 plays into the weakest aspects of JV and Billy’s games. They both do a lot of things well, particularly on offense, but would both benefit greatly from a good PF covering their backside on D…instead we have SGs trying to cover and they get eaten alive.
Great job of roster construction by our GM…put all our eggs on the most injury prone player in the NBA. SMH
