I agree that this current roster is far too talented to be 6 games under .500. This is not a scrub lineup. Injuries, coaching and management have led to this.

I think AD does't want to be the MAN. He doesn't demand the ball at crunch time ( he did early in his career, I remember the Spurs game where his 3 as the clock went down put us in the play offs. Now if he happens to get the ball at the end, he looks to pass or throw something up from outside. His unwillingness to take charge is why he will never be" the franchise "wherever he goes. Need to try and add Solo's garbage contract to whoever we trade to

Part of the issue is that AD hasn’t been consistent enough for other true stars to want to come here.

not only potential free agents, but fans of Davis kept waiting for him to go on a run of "A games" and never stop. He kept getting injured.

I saw him being the most powerful wonderful player.
And then, sitting.

I feel.like the consolation prize the Lakers provide will be plenty of solace if just one first turns into a solid starter. Kuzma, hart. Good.
Lonzo. Maybe.
Ingram. Maybe not.
I think you could trade Lonzo and Ingram for high picks and end up with 4 or 5 firsts out of the deal.

Most of my blame goes to Dell for not firing Gentry 2 seasons ago.

I think a different coach with a cohesive style and management with an actual vision improves most of those other players, or at least teams with those players on them, therefore this argument doesn't work for me. For that reason, I'm out.

Can't blame Davis.

I remember a certain high quality poster pointing out that firing Monty before Dell would turn out exactly like it has.

I also remember several posters pointing out that we knew who Gentry as soon as his name came up. All of this shite was written on the wall well before it happened. Nobody should be surprised. Dell is an awful GM.

I am ready for AD to get a Boogie type injury, once he is traded of course.

LOL I wouldn't wish that on the guy. Maybe ending up on a team that falls apart.

Garnett took a team with it's second best player as Terrell Brandon and a rookie Wally to the number 1 seed in the west.

Uh Sprewell and Cassell were very good.

I don't really see that as a counter to 'can't blame Davis,' rather a complimentary argument. New Orleands can't attract mega-star players. That's not Demps' fault and it's not Davis' fault, either.

I'm not blaming him at all. But the "very good players" he's had here weren't as good as you make them out to be.
