Talk to his neighbors in ole metry.
His daughter was removed from a travel ball team at pontiff after missing practices and games. Monty blew up on the coach and the story is monty either said or implied the coach was a racist.
Showed up and threatened to beat up a doctor in his office after the doctor gave his wife a kiss on the cheek as a greeting. I get maybe being a little uncomfortable with that, but who the frick takes it so far that they show up at the person's office and threatens them over it?
Got offended about Halloween decorations and asked a neighbor to take theirs down because his family "doesn't celebrate Halloween "
Claimed OM was the most racist neighborhood he ever lived in. His players clearly disagree with him seeing as Jrue just built his second house here, Solo bought a house here (like 4 houses down from Monry's old place) and I guess you good throw AD in there if you count MCE as OM.
He also made a bunch of shite up about getting the cops called on him all the time for being a black person in OM. I think the cops got called once because he was went for a run at like 2 or 3 AM dressed in all black. Cops showed up. Had a laugh and it never happened again as far as I've been told.
He had that nice piece about ryno, so kudos to him for that. But nearly every other interaction he had with his neighbors and the community was of an a-hole who basically begged people to not like him, and then said it was because they were racist.

Eta: The pontiff team story may have been that the players and parents were told that all players had to commit to attend all practices and games, and then the daughter wasn't picked because they could not commit. To be fair, Old Metairie is probably pretty racist lol. Just because Monty lived next to a few doesn't mean Jrue does.
Also the fact that noone else has ever heard these stories about someone with a national profile means he wasnt race baiting too hard...

Everything Johnnykilroy said is correct unfortunately. The details about the travel ball team were they were going out of town and would miss a bunch of games so Monty and the coach agreed it would be best to give the spot to someone who would be there. Vacation was cut short and Monty expected the team to cut a player after the season had started and put his daughter back on.
One of Monty’s neighbors once also went and asked him if it would be alright to park his boat in front the house for a few hours while he was getting ready to go fishing. Monty said no problem at all and went inside and immediately called the police. Police told the neighbor straight up that Monty called them.

This one is definitely true. 100% fact.
Doctor treated all of Monty's kids for most of his duration here, knew Monty's wife very well. He was at a cocktail party and they ran into each other and he did what everyone in NOLA does, gave the side mouth cheek kiss without even touching basically.
Monty came to his office the next day, barged into the doctor's office and very very openly threatened to beat the very living frick out of this old man. I know the doctor and several people that work in his office. Everyone I know basically found out about it within minutes.

Monty used to live in my neighbor...he was kind of a dick. On Halloween he would turn off all the lights and not answer the door...got mad at some neighbors for putting up decorations too.

That doesn't make him a dick. I was raised the same way. Not everyone participate in Halloween fam that doesn't mean they are rude, not everyone wanna be giving out candy and being social like that
