This is the guy I hope the pels draft. Every time I watch him I am blown away by his ability. I see hes shooting up mock drafts. Has anyone got to watch him play much?

I've been surprised he hasn't been looked at as a lottery pick. He's a really nice prospect, imo.

I probably wouldn't pick him with our early pick, but if we make a deal with Boston, i'd definitely take him with a mid first rounder.

I think he’s projected top 5 now. He’s projected over Johnson and Little

I agree with it all.
I like his game, especially being a 6'5" PG.
He's the leader of that team. If they win the title, or even just get to the final four on his backs, his draft stock is goign to sky rocket even more so than it already has.

he's definitely a top 10 pick and probably top 5. if he's there at our spot, we should definitely take him.

Dude can straight score haven’t seen enough of everything else he does to properly judge him. He seems more like a combo guard scorer to me ala Lou Williams. He will be someone to consider around our pick.

He’s really good. I’m a UNC fan and I did not see this coming. Watching high school all-american games, Little was the clear star between the two of them. Coby looked sloppy, didn’t look like a great shooter.

Kid shows up on campus and looks like a completely different player. He has all the physical skills to be great, but my favorite thing about him is he’s not scared of big moments. He wants to take the big shots. He would be a great fit next to Jrue.

Hes much bigger than Sweet Lou. Much higher upside. Not sure who he reminds me of maybe Brandon Roy? 6'5 combo guard

Morant
Garland
White

Those are the top 3 PG in this draft. Problem is Whites a lot like Jrue in that he’s probably be a better SG. Still, having a scorer on the side of Jrue like White would be sweet. I think if you’re the Pelicans though Garland is the man you are targeting.

Garland is more of a scorer as well. Don't understand why people arent acting like he is is a scoring guard.

There are so few pure point guards nowadays. Almost any guard in the draft will be more of a scorer than a distributor.

It's not like Jrue needs CP3 next to him. He just can't have a straight two guard next to him like an Etwaun Moore.

But a combo guard is fine. Like, if he had CJ McCollum next to him, our offense would be fine. Any of those three could play next to Jrue and share the role of playmaker in the offense.

Defensively, I think White has the highest upside of them all. He is the only one amongst the three that I think can guard multiple positions

I would love Coby White, especially if we get both Brown and Tatum in the Bos trade. He may end up being a more realistic option than Zion or Moran’s.

I’m just very big on not using a high pick on a big other than Zion. Perimeter players are the premium now.

No. PREMIUM perimeter players are the premium. Solid perimeter players aren't that valuable.

If you can get the next Harden or Curry, yes that is more valuable than anything else. But the next Jeff Teague? That has little to no value. Solid guards are actually pretty easy to acquire.

This whole mindset of perimeter over big is just so incorrect. If the guys are elite, sure. But if they are just destined to be a tier 4 type of guy, I would say the gap between an above average big and a bad one is much bigger than the gap between an above average guard and a bad one

Yeah, but did anyone really think Harden or Steph wee going be the next Harden or Steph? You have to buy a lottery ticket to win.

Anyone have an opinion on Charles Bassey of WKU?

Certainly could be there at 14

Being completely honest, i could have sworn he was like 6 feet flat, then looking at a mock, saw that he is like 6’5”. I’d take him over Garland

Draft the best player with the highest upside and not get to technical. Good chance Jrue is gone before this pick ever starts to peak in his career anyway.

Precisely this.

The nba draft is a crap shoot. You get the best prospect. Every time.
