“I don’t think he’s in the playing shape or the mental shape to play," Krzyzewski added.

I mean he played for like 20 mins and banged his knee. It’s not like he tore his acl from playing 40 mins three nights in a row. It wouldn’t surprise me if we were going to shite him down really early anyway with some other bs reason.

Cool story.

How about after coach K runs more than 7 pick and rolls all season(only 4 more than we ran to get Zion easy points in the first quarter of summer league) for one of the most dynamic duos in his team’s history or some elbow touches for one of the most prolific inside scoring big men in college history, or some simple brush screens to free up a freak ball handling big to wreak havoc on off-tilt college defenses....then he can lecture about doing right by Zion.

...I like coach K, and I’m sure he was just being sensitive to someone he cares about, but it is crazy that Zion did what he did in an offense that was honestly not well built around him and actually made it harder for him in many ways.

He looked terrible. Was overhyped because who he was. Didnt see the same leaping ability I saw qt Duke. Was obvious he wasnt in shape. (And yes I saw the dunks he had.)

That's a little dramatic.

He drew 4 fouls on NBA starters in 11 minutes of play.

Buddy Hield looked terrible his entire first summer league game, several even....Zion looked like a guy with freak abilities that hadn’t played basketball or conditioned regularly in 4 months but still put up 11 points in 9 minutes with the eyes of the world on him unlike any player since Lebron.

...Going against three Knicks starters.

Its truthful. Its not a big deal though, its summer league. But he looked terrible to me based on Zion standards.

Hes 6'7. I hope he can do a windmill dunk. The dunk isnt impressive. The elevation he normally gets on these dunks is impressive. This wasnt the normal Zion.

You? Clearly

Since you made a point to jump into this thread and proclaim how terrible he looked even though he didn’t....especially under the circumstances

Didnt realize a few minute sample size was a judgement on a players entire career.

You're getting clowned on for saying a guy who went up against 2 starting NBA bigs and scored 11 points, drawing 4 fouls in 9 minutes of play looked terrible. Yes he looked out of shape. I don't think anyone would argue against that.

But you didn't just say he looked out of shape. You said he looked "terrible" and was overhyped.

Which is dramatic as frick.
