And let's not forget he ran Marcus out of town cause he coudlnt handle not being most popular
Don't even go there.
I'd focus more on the summit meeting between CP3, Monty, and Demps in which CP3 assured them he'd stick around if Demps turned over the roster.
He wanted them to make a commitment to him by bringing in new players and shipping out DC. Demps miracled his arse off to turn shite like Juju into usable parts like Marco and getting Ariza by dumping DC.
Him forcing a major roster turnover as a condition to staying and then pulling this shite REALLY gets me, as we could have shipped him out last year and gone forward with DC as our point if he was just going to walk anyway.

This is exactly what I am upset about. The Hornets front office showed commitment and held up their end of the agreement by doing more with less last offseason. Now the team will be left with out its superstar and without a promising young replacement point guard.

I completely forgot about that part, but was it before or after Melo got sent to NY? If it was before then I guess I can somewhat understand it, but it's still BS that we traded away our youth for him and he'll wind up leaving anyway.

I'm not in all these threads as much, so I don't follow the inside jokes as well.
I also don't get to watch nearly as many games as you guys, because they are fricking NEVER on TV here and I don't love the NBA enough to have a package
I did watch when they were on, and I definitely watched all of the playoff games.
I love CP3, and I hope the Hornets can find some way to keep him around.

There are always ways to watch live streams online if you're interested in following the team closely.

Bellinelli sucks. Ariza is an average NBA player and filled a need somewhat.
The front office did nothing to make this team a contender.

It's hard to go from sub-.500 to a contender in 1 offseason. The fact that we were in the top 4 seeds in the West for most of the season and still got the 7th seed when West went out was pretty promising with the makeshift roster we had.

Well it wasn't just turnover, right? HE wanted to get pieces to a championship puzzle?
I do agree, getting anything for Juju is a minor miracle.
I also agree that CP3 should be patient with something of that regard, because a team in our financial shape can't build a title contender in one year.
But, every player ever wants to win a titles and this isn't the 80s/90s where free agency wasn't as big of a deal. Players are constantly moving around and changing teams, so the whole "loyalty" thing doesn't really apply IMO.
People point to a guy like Durant and say, "See, he's loyal." But Durant also has a great, young core around him. If that group fails to get it done the next 3 or 4 years, let's see where Kevin stands, whether or not he's "OKC 4 LYFE" or not.
Kobe demanded out of LA for a while until they grabbed Gasol and others... and he's had much better talent around him for his entire career than CP3 has had here.

Marco may not be great, but look what they gave up for him... Julian Wright. Christ, getting a few extra practice balls for him would have been an accomplishment.
As far as Ariza goes, Demps specifically pitched CP3 on bringing him in and CP3 pretty much said "You can do that? bullshite. He's not going anywhere." Demps then pulled off the four-team trade for him.

I understand the FO did what they could with what they had. Doesn't change the fact that this team isn't a contender.

I was pretty impressed with the moves. Considering the assets they had, I would say those moves turned out pretty positive. At least a step in the right direction towards a highly competitive team.

Are they in the game threads? I'll try to do check it out. I may have done that once or twice this year, I can't remember.

They arent but for what they did over one full offseason, it was going the right direction.

They get posted in game threads when the game isn't on TV but you can always ask for a link and people will provide one, and those sites usually have games all season.

Like I said guys let's be patient cp seems loyal to the.city and is our best player

I think we have to accept the fact that CP3 isnt going to be here for that much longer that being said we should worry about who he is traded to (I dont see why he would reject throwing ally-opps to Blake Griffin all day)
The best thing to do is get a solid young player and probably 2 first round picks
Hopefully that good young player is someone like Eric Gordon and since the knicks have no picks I cant see him being traded to them
