Haha I respect that but wait aren’t I just an alter of YOU lol is it possible that not every pelican fan just favors their favorite player but instead is looking for their team overall to succeed? That can’t be right I must be just an alter of you, thats the HONEST TRUTH-(not trademarked- please dont sue lol)

Ur sad bud…resort to this when uve got no facts to prove ur point.
I’m getn dead tired with Zion too but his talent is obvioussss…he is the problem and the key to this teams success. BI isn’t the problem

Everyone wants to throw it on BI when he came back and played with a still decimated team, and got us to the play in with a still decimated team.
It seems crazy on it's face, drop an established All Star caliber player for a highly touted but unproven rookie when you're trying to make the playoffs. And one of the main reasons you'd be doing this would be to head off potential money issues 2 years from now. It's just not a move teams usually even think about.
However, the reason this is something to consider for the Pels is because outside of BI's rookie year, neither Zion or BI have played more than 62 games in a season. The last 2 seasons you have 55 and 45 for BI and 0 and 29 for Zion. With both being injury prone/recovery challenged, you have to think the odds of both being healthy at the same time and gaining momentum heading into the playoffs is not great.
I'm still not convinced BI/Zion for Scoot is the way to go and think dumping CJ down the line is the move. But it is not an insult to BI to consider it. There is risk whichever way the Pels go. If the team is going to live and die by Zion, going younger and cheaper at the #2 spot isn't a bad idea. If Zion does great, Scoot should fit right in. If Zion doesn't do well, you have more options than you would with BI making $50 a year.
Now I doubt Griff would be the one that got to rebuild around Scoot if you traded BI for him and later had to move Zion. That's part of why I don't see a Scoot trade happening. But if Griff knew he had a long leash, it probably would be 50/50 on whether he would pull the trigger.

As the main guy? He can’t. But I respect the dedication of your fandom for him
Zions most complete year we couldn’t get into the playoffs. So as a main guy, he’s yet to show it.
What’s the league equivalent of value added Trey Murphy at the power forward ? Kyle Anderson? Aaron Gordon? Evan Mobley? It is certainly not Jaxson Hayes, injured Larry Nance, Willy.

Its also been BI’s health!!! He hasn’t played 60 games in 4 years. You can’t complain about Zion’s health and then think BI is sitting here doing iron man 82 game seasons. I mean that argument is literally the definition of a hypocrite.

Thanks some legit debate notes

I’d give plenty the world to have z and bi both play 60

Resort to what. I just gave you facts of what BI has done in his pelicans career. You literally are blaming everything on Zion and acting like BI was hardcore play every game guy scoring 30 a game lol Its a joke. You cant blame Zion on everything. At least some of the failure of the past four years is also on BI.
Posted on 6/16/23 at 8:57 pm to Pels_Yaz
And fyi he’s passed 60 games half of last 4 years lol…soo much for those “facts”

Hard to win when your starting four / a huge chunk of your cap space is in street clothes. Which is a familiar situation around here.

Right..like these things are so obvious..I get the aggrevation but we one step away..one ZION commitment step away from contesting year in year out

I’ve never seen anything like this. Like I get this undying love for a team that has won championships or continued playoff success. But people fall in love with players that literally have done nothing but a first round exit.

Including BI- he hasnt played 60 games in 4 years!!! Again you cant just ignore BI has serious health issues too.
Posted on 6/16/23 at 9:01 pm to Pels_Yaz

games a season. In today's NBA, that isn't terrible.
This season, he averaged 25ppg (career high), 5.5 rebounds, 5.8 assists (career high), 88% FT (career high) on 6 attempts per game (career high), 39% from 3, 48% FG on 18.6 shots a game (career high)
That big toe tho

BI didn’t announce he wasn’t getting back on the court because he didn’t mentally “feel 100%” during a playoff push.
BI’s commitment to the team is not in question, IMHO. Zion’s is.

You proved me wrong which I admit should have said 65 but really doesn’t help your argument that its only Zions health issues here.
