Yet doctors cleared BI with his toe injury weeks before he finally decided to play because he wasn’t mentally ready. Meanwhile we’re going on 10 game losing streaks

Ur trading 25/6/6guy because he felt he wasn’t ready when docs said he could manage…once…he wants to be here..always in gym…and isn’t a distraction anywhere.

The huge salary is incorrect he would be on a rookie deal and dont have to give him a huge deal in a while.
That was if we traded BI for another star player, not a draft pick.
I understand the salary implications here. I'm saying its a huge gamble to hope that Scoot lives up to the level that BI is currently at.

Yep. Ankle injury, nasal fracture, and 2 separate concussions. If we are going to bring BI's injury history into this, you can't discount Scoot's.

Any trade is a gamble. Saying its huge, I would disagree. Again BI himself was a #2 pick and Scoot as a prospect is grading much higher than BI as a prospect. I think people are afraid to trade the known for the unknown. But if Scoot has played 4 years, been ROY, been in 2 all star games already and been to playoffs- you likely wont be able to get him for BI. I feel like people just dont get that yes theres a gamble trading for a prospect but theres also a good chance that you can get a better player for a cheaper contract.

Zion is where the gamble sits..if Zion gamble hits pels are looking for a ring. Can’t be goin out gambling everything lol

BI’s draft comparison was Durant…and really still is today so that whole draft grade comment is incorrect

We weren’t talking about Zion here but ok. By the way if you lose the Zion gamble, all you have is BI- who without Zion couldn’t get past OKC in play in. I mean BI and Zion, have been together for 4 years- what have they done where we feel like we cant trade one or the other. People here act like we’re breaking up Jordan and Pippen.

Bi and pels fans have continued to wait on zIon
stop acting like a completely healthy Zion doesn’t change the thought of this whole team or even a half arse healthy zion
That’s y he’s brought up

They’ve only played 93 games together over those years.

Im not talking about who they’re compared to. I could talk about all the great players Scoot has been compared to. Ingram as a prospect was seen below ben simmons who even in college couldn’t shoot a lick. If it wasnt for Wemby, honestly one of the best prospects ever. Scoot would be number one. Ingram was at that time not close to what Scoot is being touted as.
Posted on 6/16/23 at 6:03 pm to Mickey Goldmill
Yeah exactly why pelicans are seriously thinkjng hard about getting Scoot.

So that’s y there’s talk of Brandon miller going #2… gotcha
