Not stretching enough, weight issues, “good sleeping habits” as CJ said, are all connected to being a professional. If you don’t watch what you eat, don’t take extra time to get your body ready before a game and stay up all night after, then you are simply just going through the motions and enjoying your time. The trainers have absolutely no authority to force a franchise player to spend extra time stretching. They are simply there to advise and suggest. It comes down to the player accepting responsibility and doing whatever it takes to give himself an edge. CJ has publicly stated this multiple times to call these young guys out. We will see if it registers.

Maybe not, but do they stress it? You see players on opposing teams doing a lot of stretching pre-game and never see any Pelicans players doing so (not just Zion). It is a philosophy? When AD was here, that training staff always had many players stretching before games.

No one today has the balls to say stuff like this. Hell, Dwayne Wade’s son has (hopefully temporarily) turned into a girl

Zion is already on the way out in the NBA. Nothing he has done in his years here has shown that he can do any more than what he has already shown.

Has anyone ever heard a quote from Zion that he is fired up and doing everything in his body, mind, and heart to play in the NBA? Crickets.

Kinda funny/sad after years of speculation about injuries, the front office, coaches, etc, etc the final conclusion is he’s just lazy. Pathetic.

Lazy is the wrong word. The guy never had weight issues or injury problems growing up. And the weight issues only rear it's ugly head when he has lower leg issues that prevents him from playing ball and burning calories.

He's simply learning the hard way what it takes to take care of his body especially when he can't partake in physical activities. These things came easy to him through college but now his body requires a pretty strict maintenance that he isn't used to and is probably shocking to him as it is shocking to us.

Let's hope this is the final straw that finally wakes him up and forces him to get serious about his body.
