Is it? What possible benefit is there to firing Demps now as opposed to 2-3 weeks from now? This isn't like a HC position where now is a time you may need to send signals and put out feelers to college coaches if they are possible replacements. Demps has made some questionable decisions, but I don't think people question the work such as scouting like we did with Shinn/Bower. Firing Demps now just means fewer people doing the same amount of work prepping for the offseason.

Now I do worry that either Demps and Gentry are tied at the hip like he claimed a few days ago, or winning the lottery could create enough excitement and distraction to save his job. But those are separate issues that have nothing to do with whether firing someone before you can line up a replacement is a good idea.

On top of all that, and this is a reason for Loomis to fire himself, Loomis is kind of busy right now with the Saints.

If we didn't bitch about Dell and argue about Buddy Hield, there would be nothing but gameday threads.

I'm not saying he must be fired today. But I don't see why he should lead the rebuild

YUP! Sons, what say you?

Should we break down a free agent prospect, and draft prospect each day from now until the draft?

"Nah sounds boring."

Should we argue about Buddy Hield and Dell Demps every day till the draft?

"HELL YEH! I'm always up for that!"

Uh huh

Nearly every thread devolves into or starts as as a dell/gentry bash/Buddy merry go round

This team has certainly been disappointing but this board is just as or even more.

I think it's irrelevant at this moment. Until AD starts to show he is a bona-fide superstar then it doesn't matter who the GM is. Now if AD ever takes that leap then yeah Dell needs to be shown the door ASAP.

What scouting lol? They haven't made a pick that was impactful outside of AD. People credit Dell way too much on his role player acquisitions.
