Can someone explain to me why Asik only played 20 minutes?

Really.

Please.

He isn't great offensively, but why trot out Ryno for 29 minutes when Westbrook was driving on us for majority of the night.

1/3 fg, 7 rebounds, 1 block, 5 points, 1 foul

Asik should be in the closing 5 not Anderson

Also, Asik was shutting the paint down last game VS the thunder. They could've really used that in the second half.

Monty bitched about not having a center and he doesn't play him in crunch time

Anderson was one of the few dudes having a decent game offensively.

And honestly, I fricking hate Asik. Solid defender, but he's awful on offense, lazy as frick, and can't get up and down the court.

I just think Asik is overvalued, to be honest.

Asik is the only thing we have in terms of rim protection. especially tonight in the 2nd half, we put up no resistance when he wasn't in.

I know, but I think our inability to score was just as much of a problem as our interior defense at the rim.

Anderson had a stretch there where he made some stuff happen offensively. With how much Westbrook was on, maybe Monty thought that we were just gonna have to match them point for point.

We just shot like shite. We knew we didn't have it, and when they took the lead late we just quit. Not that it's acceptable, but that's what happened.

If we have a normal shooting night, we win. And their points in the paint are irrelevant.

How is Asik "lazy as frick"?

I 100% disagree with that statement

He's not lazy. He's uncoordinated.

It's dumb to pull Asik at the end of games. At the end of games you need stops. Asik in the middle and on the glass helps get stops and gets your team the ball.

And Asik always seemed to step up during crunch time when the team needed stops.

But I haven't watched him with the Pelicans much. I'm speaking from watching him the past couple years.

Can he honestly be THAT uncoordinated and immobile?

He can't even get up and down the court.

I would much rather have a guy like Tyson Chandler than Asik. I know that's different cap space for each, just saying.

I think he should be on the court at the end most nights. He's one of the five.

Tonight, seemed like Monty just thought we needed the offense. Westbrook was so hot that we needed to match baskets.

We just didn't make enough shots tonight. We got good looks, too.

Gordon, Evans, Anderson, and Davis all shot like crap. Especially in the last 18 minutes.

Because we were completely shutting down drives into the lane and erecting an impenetrable barrier at the goal without the big Turk We just didn't need him.

Just checking your sarcasm detector. The Thunder players were doing pullup reps on the rim and my friend and I were screaming at the TV in the bar to get Asik in the game.
