Can Pondexter be the 6th man?

I really want Thornton to be the 6th man but let's be honest he will never get the chance

If by 6th man you mean scorer that powers the bench, no. He's a defensive stopper that can hopefully take advantage of open shots better than Ariza.

he shots a lot to be just a defender

Seems like he could. He's got great size and was a scorer in college. I am really surprised he's playing as well as he has. I was really high on Brackins and not so much Pondexter even though he had a very good career at UW. So far the decision to keep Pondexter looks at this point to be the right one.
Although I haven't given up on Brackins. Guy has such a high skill set for his size, I can't see him being a bust.

It's certainly possible. He's got great form on his jumpshot. I think he just needs more confidence in himself. He hesitates too much. If he's more decisive, he'd be much more dangerous.

no, he's an unpolished rookie. Give him some time to develop his game but I like his upside. He can score. He proved that in college.

I never saw a difference between Pondexter and Taz Mitchell, basically the same player. That being said i dont see Pondexter ever being more than a bench body coming in for 10 minutes a game.

sixth men create their own shot.

Really? Taz is a power forward stuck in a 2-guard's body.

I admit Taz Mitchell is virtually identical.
Except Q-Pon is better in every way at playing basketball and far more athletic.

Taz has just been out of position.
Taz shot better from 3, rebounded better, played better defense and dished out more assists than Quincy in college look at the stats.
But since Pondexter is averaging 10 min for a mediocore team and Taz just got cut from the cavs, yes right now ill give the edge to Quincy.
