Well, the idea is ludicrous, a big man nursing a hip injury put 40 on a back to back(day after getting hurt) and people are saying he doesn’t have that “dog” in him because he doesn’t scowl.
Dirk doesn’t
Duncan didn’t
A lot of casual fans want the “mamba/alpha” posturing more than results.
Iverson, Chris Paul, Kobe, Westbrook, Rondo,Rasheed,Rodman Draymond, etc...they also expect bigs to push people around like Shaq did.
Boogie somehow went from “bad body language” guy last year to “Alpha” Davis needs.
Basically, fan base is inventing reasons to bitch about AD when the media is pushing the narrative.
He continues to say when the Pels get healthy they can be better than last year-a franchise year by most measurements.
The Bensons not investing in a GLeague earlier-which would provide depth over the course of a season & trading first rounders (back of rotation depth) is the culprit here.
Not the best player in franchise history. Nor the coach.

Everyone was pretty much in agreement that if you have AD as the best player on your team, you will not win a championship, simply because he doesn't have that "dog" mentality in him like a Westbrook/Lebron type.
This is a pretty absurd argument.
1) Westbrook has won literally nothing. I don't know why he's mentioned in this.
2) AD is 25 years old. He hasn't even entered his basketball prime yet. Here are just some of the recent stars and when they won their first championships:
Lebron was in his 9th year in the league (28)
Steph was in his 6th year after 3 years in college (27)
Dirk was in his 13th year. Although he did get the mavs to the finals in his 8th year.
Shaq was in his 8th year after 3 years in college.
My point is, its ridiculous to make these types of statements about a 25 year old. You never know what could happen.

I was listening to NBA radio yesterday and they were discussing AD. Everyone was pretty much in agreement that if you have AD as the best player on your team, you will not win a championship
1. Who are these guys and how many?
2. Why are you almost quite literally basing all of your decisions off what these dudes said?
I listen to a shite ton of NBA podcasts and have legit never heard a single one say AD can't be the best player on a title team. Russillo, the NBA Ringer pod, a few others...all of these pretty much gush over AD, quite the opposite of what you're taking as fact because a couple o dudes said so.

As I have said forever, this team will NEVER win a title. Never.
I vividly remember this quote previous to 2006. But for Nola's other sport team.
This type of crap is what should keep you from posting on your own site that will be designed to "keeps the idiots off."

he does, and it came out last year at the end of the season... but lol @ Alvin Gentry bringing it out of him.
Gentry will make excuses all season about how he trust this team to get it right. Next thing you know its game 78. and you're at .500
this team has routinely underachieved under Gentry. He is a players coach, he has no accountability with his players. His players are never challenged and it shows in their play. No edge, washy competitiveness. Always coasting.
