I've seen him on TV, I assumed it was a Max Headroom thing, or something designed to save money have having a faceless guy with this computerized persona, making the faceless guy more replaceable. That's why there are so many. There are like 6 Mackels, right?

Now that the fake is shut down, this should be retitled "Beware: Fletcher Mackel is on twitter!" The crap he comes up with is funnier than the fake account was.
