Downvote away for another hypothetical but could it be possible to get Beal in a 3 way while keeping both Ingram and Lonzo? For example could we move the date to the 30th if Lakers send Kuzma to Washington along with the #4, 1 of their future 1st we own and maybe solomon hill and/ or etwaun moore?
Would give us
Lonzo
Jrue
Beal
Ingram
Zion
I'm not sure if Washington would do it but obviously we would need more pieces down low because we couldnt play small ball all game. Thoughts?

Washington probably says no.

IDK why people think Beal will come so cheaply. He's a 25 year old all star with multiple years left on his contract. The 4th, a mediocre player and a future first aren't getting it done. I think there are plenty of teams that can beat that if Washington actually has any interest in moving beal.

We’d have to give them someone for contract purposes. You cant just trade a max level contact for draft picks. (Not trying to be a dick).

It would be a dream come true if we trade lonzo and #4 for beal.

To get their cap space.

The Lakers would do it to facilitate the trade going through on July 30th instead of July 6th. By moving the trade back, the Lakers gain enough capspace to sign a 3rd max player

According to the information available, this execution date either wasn't negotiated at all, or was negotiated to be the 6th. If that's the case, the Lakers may have to call Griffin back to add more to the trade to get us to move the trade back. That, or the Lakers would forego signing another max level star player.

Their plan was to form a big 3 with LBJ, AD and another star. By failing to secure the 30th as the execution date, the Lakers may have negotiated their way out of a max level FA signing for nothing in return.

Again, this is all based on the info that's currently out there. I would be shocked if something doesn't come out in the next day or two saying that the original deal contained a provision for executing the trade on the 30th. We just don't know that for certain right now.

I think that Washington will want too much. Beal is a shooter but we have a logjam at shooting guards on this team. May have to take Dwight Howard or that other overpaid center though.
#4 along with Ball, Hill, bad contract and another pick maybe.
I think CJ McCollum and Jaylen Brown would be cheaper and also could play multiple spots.
Then see if I can get Dedmon or another veteran Center while trying to trade for Mitchell Robinson. Don’t see the Knicks giving him up though.

I’m rambling and this may be terrible ideas. Just spitballing without knowing cap situation right now.

I’m not sure why Beal is on the block, but we have a bunch of guards and I’m not sure what Washington would want. It would probably have to be (NBA Trade Machine Warning) Moore, Solo & Ball for Beal & Howard and a swap of pick 4 for pick 9. Or something like that.

Not sure that’s what everyone wants.
