Do any of you think it’s even possible to get him? Because if it’s possible i don’t even understand why the Pels wouldn’t unload a ton of the pics they gathered in all these trades along with lonzo/naw/Hayes etc. Yeah I get it, defense won’t be great but it isn’t great now. At least with a lineup of Zion/BI/Adams/Beal/Kira they’d be able to keep pace and score with teams. Griff needs to do something to get a shooter to help, Ball will never cut it.

I don’t even want to make a huge trade at this point. It wouldn’t help and might even make things worse.

I’m not a fan of paying him what he’ll probably want, but he’s been cutting it of late. Shooting the shite out of the ball.

Also, Kira would more than likely be leaving in a deal for Beal.

I posted this in another thread comparing Ingram with Beal and Lavine at age 23 and year 5 for all 3.

Yes it's possible Lavine and Ingram never reach the heights Beal has reached, but it also looks like becoming a Beal level player is within reach of both Lavine and Ingram as they all were very similar players at age 23.

If it becomes Kira/Beal/Ingram/Zion can you add enough defense with the 5th player in the lineup?

Would you rather Beal in an AD type trade or KAT in a Porzingis type trade?

If KAT were on the table for Adams, NAW, and filler plus two firsts, I’d do it immediately.

We need somebody who can stroke it from 3.

Can Lavine do it on a consistent level, that idk. Beal looks like he can. I don’t see the logic behind stacking all these picks if you aren’t going to use them for bargaining pieces. You acquired the frickin picks, use them to add a piece.

I’d do that as well Totes, we still gotta find somebody who can stroke the 3 ball though. But again, that’s just my thoughts on it.

Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I do not like KAT at all. Never have not even coming out in the draft. He just has never impressed me. He’s a good offensive player but is still bad defensively. I can’t even explain it he’s always just missed something with me. Maybe it’s just Minnesota but he just doesn’t play winning basketball. There are rumors that he really doesn’t love basketball that much.

And...I think with all he’s been through the last year...I wonder if it will affect him for a long time.

And really I could give a frick less about another damn big. You can get guys like Willy that are fine.

Guards. Wings. Nothing else matters at this point.

Well, obviously we need more shooting. KAT would be the best volume percentage three point shooter on the team the day he walked in the building. He’s been over 40% for three straight seasons. Plus that opens up more for Zion. And he rebounds well. Blocks some shots.

Defense would still be horrid, but you’re hoping these guys figure it out in the next couple of years, not immediately. And if it doesn’t, you can move him down the line likely for a little bit less than you gave up for him.

Look at the last 10 champions...hell even finals matchups. THe only elite centers in them I can think of is AD and Tim Duncan. Both guys who wanted to be PFs and are absolute all time greats.

Everything else....wings and guards and wings and guards.

I want another elite PG, SG or SF.

You can get role players that can either play defense or shoot.

saddiq bey, whom I touted here, is 6 8, good all around, Villanova trained.
hes doing well for a rookie.

he was available.

kira may be it. time will tell.

but everyone seemed to want 3 and D last draft and bey still looks the part.

it doesn't seem like beal is available.
I'd rather use the picks.
hit on one or two.

pels are only 1.5 out of the 7v10 playin game.

He isn't ... for now. That could change as we approach the trade deadline. And it's no secret that Griffin wants him, and that we will make a strong bid if he does become available.

But with the rumors that Chicago is Lonzo's preferred destination, and that the Bulls would be interested in acquiring Lonzo, it seems that a LaVine trade could be more likely -- but maybe Lonzo just gets flipped for another piece that Griffin wants to use in the offseason in "the big trade."

Beal seems sick of being in Washington. You gotta think Washington wants to trade him and start over. All this posturing and acting like you aren’t gonna trade him is bullshite. Whether he comes here or not the fact they are saying that he’s unavailable is an absolute lie.

Trading for Lavine and extending him seems like an option that’ll work but you gotta make some type play for Beal. You gotta think guys will want to play with Zion and BI...

I d think the picks would be better used on mccollum or beal.

Then get a veteran point till kira is mature.

They get more from the bidding war, not from that.

Rebuilding team =

1) Increase the flexibility

2) Develop the young guys

3) Have draft picks

4) Take a vet but a leader vet, which has / had playoffs experience and which fits with the team (Jae Crowder, Chris Paul, Al Horford for example)

5) Don't overpay too much the roster

We're a rebuilding team. People don't seem to understand...
