peg New Orleans as a 25-19 outfit. Basketball Reference's simple rating system, which accounts for margin of victory and strength of schedule, has the squad at No. 12 in the NBA. And on the most basic of the advanced-stat levels, Davis' crew boasts the Association's No. 10 net rating.

Goes back to the point that what this team's needed isn't another star. It's competent play at PG and SF. Sub those in for the trash that has been Frazier/Hill/Wes and we're probably where the Clippers or Blazers are in the standings.

frick.

Tim Frazier got 6 minutes in the Minnesota game. He was -9 in those 6 minutes and while he wasn't solely responsible for all the miscues then, there were a bunch of turnovers while he was in. They often had him playing off ball while other players turned it over, what's the point of playing him then? You have to wonder if Gentry had played Payton 32 minutes instead of 26 and didn't play Frazier at all if the team would have won. I think the odds are high that they would have.

It doesn't need a start to make the playoffs. But a star gives the team a better chance to keep AD.

And thinking so much about that might eventually cost them the playoffs this year. Thats the irony.

HOU and NOP are basically the same team base on ORTG/DRTG

Correct me if I am wrong, but I do not recall Time getting any PT during the Clippers game.

I could go back and count 6-8 wins this team should have had even with the injuries. Not to mention all the games Jahlil sat the bench along with Frank.

Frank is one of our worst players when it comes to NetRtg. I'm ok with him getting minutes because I think he'll help in the future, but just like Buddy was a net negative the first 2/3 of his rookie year, playing Frank will cost you games when the margin for error is thin. Buddy's first positive month was February, but he also got regular minutes most of the season.
