If there is a rumor it probably came from his people hoping it turns into something. That’s how these things work.

The only thing semi recent that I see is Fletcher Fletching. He's been pimping Avery Johnson as a GM candidate since last year and brings it up every now and then.

How do people with actual careers and follow sports as a hobby, have more intelligence than someone like Fletch that follows sports for a living?

The down votes in this thread are curious. 1 downvote to each post that portrays Fletch negatively. The only other downvotes are for the OP. When I dig into this alleged rumor the only trace of it I find is from Fletcher. Is the OP one of Fletcher’s interns sent here to try and start a rumor and/or troll us?

I would rather hire a GM more in the Daryl Morey type that can bring the team into the 21st century. Avery is just a retread
