Are you glad we are no longer the New Orleans Jazz/share Utah Jazz’s history?

Jazz makes way more sense for us than it does for Utah. At the same time, both franchises struggle and never went all the way despite the star players that both franchises have had over the years.

Right now today I prefer Pelicans over Jazz.

Sucks we lost the name way back when, and it's weird they never changed it but the team known as the Jazz is in Utah, I don't want that name.

Sharing history is stupid when teams move cities and keep the same name. We share history with the New Orleans Jazz and Pete Maravich.

Team never should have been allowed to move - should be prohibited in all leagues. It just hurts one community and benefits another, whereas an expansion team benefits two.

So you prefer socialism over capitalism?

My understanding of the name is that the team was too broke to rebrand upon landing in SLC, hence retaining the Mardi Gras colors and Jazz name.
