All the way into this year, it seemed that no matter what type of game we played, the Warriors always came out on top. I am not sure if LeBron is in Ingram's head, but last night squashed any hope for me that we would do anything against them as the 8 seed.

We will get swept by them, honestly.

But, going to the playoffs is good for keeping this team together. Next year we will be at another level, fighting for the 5th seed.

The Warriors are still the Warriors lol

Steph, Klay, Draymond, + whatever they do with their draft capital will set them up to keep competing for ships long term

the Lakers are built for this year and maybe next year but most of their success will hinge on their ability to bring in more players as Lebron starts to decline

as far as this year goes the Lakers have our number

we have no answer for Lebron, a front court of AD, Dwight, Mcgee, and Morris is enough to give us a lot of fits and Vogel has outcoached Al the last two meetings

combine that with the fact that Ingram/Holiday tend to struggle against them

yes as we are currently constructed we wont get past them

you cant have your 2nd and 3rd best players be nonfactors vs one of the best teams in the NBA and expect to matter

What does this team look like once we pay BI that crap ton of money? Will we be able to retain some of these players like Favors and bring in some others?

Yes. We have no bad contracts.

We won't beat them without Evil Jrue, who seems to only appear 15% of our games now. Don't know what's gotten into him.

dont sour on BI. Everyone has some teams that provide matchups they struggle with. Lillard is one of the best players in the league and Jrue fricks him up everytime they meet up.

Ingram is still extremely young and will continue to develop physically and in terms of his game.

like others have said Favors was never IMO meant to be the long term piece for us at C. He was just the best fit at the time of players that were available at a low cost to acquire.

because we have the option this offseason to lose players like Moore, Favors, Jackson, etc

plus since we will most likely move on from Jrue before we start actually competing in the West I wouldnt fret over our cap situation. Money will continue to free itself as we seem to need it IMO

because of the rookie deals I would expect the team at least the core of the team to remain largely in tact unless Griffin gets presented offers that are too hard to say no to

no, the Lakers are not close to being as dominate as the Warriors

the Lakers have LeBron, who turns it up when he has to/wants to. go back to any season in which you think a LeBron-led team is down & out and they march back. he is just a phenomenal basketball player

correlary for ncaa.

if your 2 and 3 man up you can beat anybody.
the 1 nearly always shows up.

i remember when a 6 seed villanova beat #1 g town in finals. nova #3 could not miss. #1 was stalwart. avg night. went on to ok nba career. 2 had career night. never played nba. 3 was really sharp. never played nba.

After last night, and the other three season games, I think so too. I was thinking maybe we could steal at least one game in the series, but now I don’t know about that. I still think it would be good for our group, and we would exceed expectations just going to the playoffs after the trade considering we are in “rebuild mode”. It’s certainly not as quick a rebuilding as OKC, but it could be a lot worse.

I wonder how different things would be with Kenrich guarding LeBoo. Kenny Hustle can play D. I think BI’s game suffered last night because he expended so much energy on the defensive side of the ball. Same thing happened to Jrue when he guarded that receding hairline arse bitch.

It’s just a young team playing with a lot of emotion against there former team, but hopefully come playoff time we can play with a level head but keep the intensity.

Lebron is a disingenuous, narcissistic opportunist arse.
He only wants the limelight to enrich the lebron brand. He does not care at all about Zion. He only wants zion, Ja, or any other names to sign with his agency or to promote his interests.

Case in point: Anthony Davis. He acts like his mini-me is so important to him. Who would want AD as a bestie?

lebron just uses what he needs to get to his goals. When has lebron ever treated a teammate with so much care as he has with AD? Think of JR, Kyrie, Love, Ingram, Ball, Hart? He is a user. If AD were signed to a longer contract, lebron would just constantly bitch him.

I think the Lakers make a run this year, then they move behind the Clippers and Warriors next year. James is on a mission this year to win a title and won’t have the same fire/ability after that.

If we make the playoffs this year, that would be great! I don’t expect us to win a series though. I think it would be great if we won two games just for the experience for the young guys.
