What was the final outcome? What did we do with the picks?

Pick wise it was:

2024 swap

2025 1st rounder

2026 swap

2027 1st rounder

2028 swap

Traded the 2025 1st 1-4 protected (for us)

So we haven’t used any of those assets yet besides the protected 1st? Future looks even better. Hopefully Milwaukee falls off a cliff in the next couple of years.

Ostensibly, just the 2025 1st

But there was some other malarkey with 1st rounders involved in the Eric Gordon trade

*Bledsoe

Ummm didn’t we use one of the firsts for Steven Adams?

So really just one first left with the swaps.

It's complicated, but that 1st used for Adams wasn't part of the 5 future pick haul from Milwaukee

I think that 2028 swap is wrong actually and doesn't exist

Real GM’s picks owned / owes tracking agrees with you.

Correct.

Conveyed to Portland because the Laker pick was 10 or better.

Traded to Detroit for Jerami Grant.

Traded to New York the other night as part of pick swapping

Sent to Charlotte IIRC as part of the chain of deals the Knicks did.

That pick’s been passed around the league more times than a Kardashian.

It wasn't conditional on the Laker pick

The rest seems right

Everything was fricking weird because of how the Graham, Adams, CJ trades worked out.

Somehow Griff did a shell game where we split protections on the same 2-3 picks to where our finish and the Lakers’ finish impacted what was received by Charlotte, Memphis, AND Portland.

Yeah the split protections on the Milwaukee pick were wild

Would we have not kept that pick if Adams was not included in the trade?

I distinctly remember saying it woukd have been nice having that pick to move up and take Maxey when he started dropping in one of the threads that year.

The #24 pick pick that year (Rodney Hampton) was a Bucks pick we gave up in the Adams trade. It went to Denver who sent a 2023 pick to OKC which was just traded to the Knicks.

as long as they have arguably the best player in the NBA on their roster I don't see the happening unfortunately.

the bucks picks still are currency no matter what they do. One of them helped get CJ, then got jerami grant then got traded twice more Thursday

Giannis goes down early in the season and that pick is suddenly worth much more.

Kind of like how the Spurs lost David Robinson in 1997 and ended up in the lottery to get Tim Duncan. Except Milwaukee won’t tank if they don’t own the pick anymore.

Lebron James was the best player in the league at the time of the Lakers trade and we just got the 8th pick. I’m amazed that people still talk like we know what any future pick is going to look like.
