We are so blessed to have Antonio Daniels. Knows his stuff, is very passionate, and loves being apart of the Pelicans broadcasting team. He seems like a very smart and wonderful human being.

His sports world revolves in two different bubbles: West Coast and Northeast. Anything in between he doesn’t really watch. Why do you think he never really talks about Giannis even though he’s easily the best player in the NBA other than LeBron and Luka? He never watches Giannis. He doesn’t watch the Pels. He even found a way to talk about the Patriots a lot last year even when they sucked

Cowherd claims to watch a lot of Pels, because of Zion. Honestly, Cowherd has had a lot of positive takes about Zion the past couple years, but he pushed the envelope a bit too far here with suggesting that he should leave New Orleans before year 6 or 7. His most original shitty take on Zion and New Orleans was when we won the lottery and he was arguing we should trade Zion for Ben Simmons bc Simmons played for LSU lol.

In fairness, he was pretty rough at first. It took him most of last year to learn how to let the game breathe and let Joel manage the pacing. Once he figured that out, he's been fine.
It also took him a little while to understand that he's OUR color guy. It was like he was trying too hard to be unbiased, but local color guys should absolutely have a little bias.

David Wesley used to drive me crazy with that mess... I think AD did it early on due to his time covering multiple teams, but after this interview there shouldn't be any doubt who he's a fan of.
