From an organizational perspective those asshats probably want this resolved before the season ticket renewal drive in March

If they trade to the Lakers now then this team is hopeless.

This is my nightmare

Figures...

Let's start this all over again...

Hopefully we can bring in a GM and coach with a vision and get something going. However, I'm not too optimistic. The GM and coach aren't really the root problems.

At the end of the day it's Loomis who's the problem.

But Demps didn't do himself any favors...

Will always like AD, he have the franchise a long time to prove it was competent, and it failed miserably. Hope he wins a ring soon, he deserves it.

I feel like Dell should've been immediately fired following this announcement. I mean, he's gotta be done right?

This organization seems to like to do things on a yearly basis.

- Ditka and Haslett were fired after the season
- Monty got fired at the end of the year
- Mora left during the season but that was because he resigned

A lame duck GM would make no sense, but hey its us.

Also I will always believe that this would have never happened if Cousins didnt tear his Achilles.

Yeah if Dell is not officially gone by Friday that is the evidence of upper management incompetence/apathy we have.

Demps should be gone and a full throttle GM search should be started by next week. Install Danny Ferry as interim. Bring in consultants to aide the football guys with the decision-making, cast a wide net, give the signal to Gentry to play the young guys, let AD sit, time is on our side so there is no need to rush into things. But this is going to be the critical period for whatever the Pels do going forward. Demps should not be a part of that.

Not sifting through the other posts...but where does he land? Early rumors?? Havent scoped out twitter either..

LA or Boston is the obvious...with the obvious with LA. Him buying a home there. Him signing with LeBron's agent... etc.

The outside is the Bulls...I haven't seen what picks they have, but my guess is they have some lotto ones especially If they haven't moved them.

AD is from Chicago. It's the East....so he could possibly attract another big star to play with him next season in Chi-town. It's just is the "haul" going to be worth it for the Pels to go to a deal with Chi.

Other outsiders are NY and Brooklyn...both have a ton of money open and could dump easy. Big markets as well. Rumor is the unicorn could be up for grabs in trades...

Will be interesting no doubt..

Did anyone else hear this? Just wondering if anything else was said.

To me, as bad as all the talk of shitty trade ideas from other teams’ fans are, I’m dreading the relocation talks just as much.

This team, with the right trade, will be better than any team we’ve had with Davis on it. The pels need a squad, not one superstar. Blessing in disguise, just gotta sit through all the bs that will come from national media.

New gm, new coach, new team. Breath of fresh air. We can watch Davis on another team sit out with pinky injuries and not even worry about it.

For real though, Davis playing at 100% effort is scary. Wish we got to see it more.

If the Pels don’t frick this up, they can put a pretty powerful starting 5 on the court.

How much money is this costing Davis? I know he could have got a 5y/230m contract from the Pelicans. What is the most a new team could give him?

As far as we know, this changes nothing except perhaps the Pels belief that they still had a Hail Mary in them. AD has no extra leverage to force a deal now vs. the summer when Boston can get involved. The only thing I could possibly see it changing is maybe it makes another team interested in AD put out a strong offer now before Boston can. Maybe Philly throws out a strong Simmons package now for example. Or maybe Boston finds a Kyrie trade they like which allows them to make a move now.

But for the most part I think the biggest impact this will have is AD will take longer to recover from his injury and the Tank is in full effect for the Pels.

I'm just saying with the talent in this upcoming draft I want young players on contract not guys who have 1-2 years left and are already planning their next move. In order for this team to be successful they have to build through the draft. They are not going to attract big time free agents to this city
