, but it could also be about telling the Pels to not do something crazy and short term to fix something that can’t be fixed.
This was my first impression, and honestly it's what I've been hoping for.
I was never on board with the Conley talks.

He could have signed them big deal then became an arse and forced his way out.

do we have a point of reference where an organization held off on moving a player after a midseason trade request was made?
I'm trying to remember one and just can't.
they don't usually do it with a full year left after the impending deadline and offseason

This franchise isn’t moving anywhere anytime soon.

that's what has me nervous about this.
does the organization really want this to linger until the summer?
will any teams besides LA be interested now, figuring AD's mind is all made up on LA?

Davis isn’t a cancer so the Pelicans still have leverage as long as he doesn’t get ugly. Davis is giving the Pelicans time to trade him. The pelicans have no reason to trade him until a package that’s too good to pass comes along.
With his current contract, a lot of teams can be involved. The Pelicans need to play this right especially when Davis didn’t go out and told the tell to trade him to the Lakers outright.

at this point i think we all know its just a matter of time before this becomes reality
he'll do it all passive aggressive and "respectful", like when teams are given permission to talk to his agent the teams will be informed he will not sign an extension. eventually the suitors will understand where he's permitting a trade
what could totally frick things up is if Kawhi does frick over Toronto. that will cut the nuts off pretty much any team who wants to gamble on AD staying (like Toronto did with Kawhi)

From an organizational perspective those asshats probably want this resolved before the season ticket renewal drive in March
If they trade to the Lakers now then this team is hopeless.

They better not trade him to the Lakers for what they have. I would MUCH rather Boston than the Lakers. Ingram and Ball suck and Kuzma is good but not enough.

Yeah if your absolute best trade partner isn't ready until the summer like Boston is you fricking wait.
The good news is that Dell won't be making the decision, right?
*panics
RIGHT?!?

I just hope we can pick Zion
Posted on 1/28/19 at 7:36 am to Loaner1231
Figures...
Let's start this all over again...
Hopefully we can bring in a GM and coach with a vision and get something going. However, I'm not too optimistic. The GM and coach aren't really the root problems.

Could we see a third team involved to "dump" Kyrie to in order to make space for AD at Boston?

I feel like Dell should've been immediately fired following this announcement. I mean, he's gotta be done right?

I've seen this coming for a couple of years now but damn! It stings when I read the headline. Now that we know that it will for sure happen it is pretty sad to sit and reflect on all the horrible decisions that this franchise has made to completely screw this up lol
Posted on 1/28/19 at 7:41 am to J_Hingle
Oh don't worry, ESPN will do all the reflecting for you lol.

Considering their plan would be to build around him and AD. No.
