Isn't that what they do on court after the game?

Worst part of the NBA is the “bigger than basketball” shite. Your job is to entertain fans and win games. If you’d rather be a businessman, open a business. Softest shite ever.

Then you call him up afterwards and grab a bite. Better yet, you do so either before the game or at another time.

Again, keep in mind several of the core players on this team are only here because AD and LeBron essentially used them as leverage for their own purposes, by way of signaling they aren’t good enough, now, instead of focusing on the team that just endured a tough loss in their biggest game of the season, you are inviting the guy that stole your lunch to come into the locker and commemorate about the good ole days with a coach that clearly isn’t bought into the team.

Dude, half our locker room never played with AD and had to play through all of last season surrounded by trade rumors because of the AD situation. I doubted they wanted the guy who they got traded for and that just dropped 40 on them to come into their locker room after a loss

It's another reason why basketball isn't successful in the city. Aside from not winning much, the team has no culture as of yet. This is now a to be considered a rivalry game. The fan base already knows this. And if the our HC and tenured veteran can't see that, we need to bring in some leadership who understands a culture of winning and can help build.

So we have to be anasshole fan base in order for the team to be successful?

Na man, that's not what I said at all. But every locker room needs a-holes. Dogs who prioritize winning and hold people accountable. ie Rondo

I was fine with the Jrue-AD jersey swap because of how close they were and still are. This is different though. The coach represents the team, the team represents the fans and city. They have made an entire slogan built around that, and you saw last night what the city felt about AD and the entire situation. And Gentry went completely against that by inviting AD into their lockerroom. That is what you call bowing down. Imagine being BI, Hart and Lonzo watching the player they got shipped out for just walk in being all chummy with their head coach. It's a horrible look for Gentry and goes against what the Pelicans say they want to be to this city

I’m not really sure what it is that Gentry “”went against”.
