All of this is because of cronyism and Dumars giving the fanbase its "pound of flesh" after an abysmal season to hide the fact that the roster is largely going to be the same next year.

The NBA, more than any other major sport, is a player-driven league. A great player with a good roster built around him will always negate any coaching shortcomings.

Here's a list of recent nba champion coaches:

Mark Daigneault, OKC
Joe Mazzula, BOS
Mike Malone, DEN (Fired)
Steve Kerr, GSW
Mike Budenholzer, MIL (Fired)
Frank Vogel, LAL (Fired)
Nick Nurse, TOR (Fired)

Of those guys, only Steve Kerr is a hall of fame coach.

Hell, the best team in our franchise history was coached by Byron fricking Scott.

We can whine all we want about Willie, Borrego, SVG, whoever the frick, until we tear this roster down and go look for a superstar, none of this shite matters.

They are hyping Poole for next season. Guess he is not fired. Let's make him an ambassador .

You’re kind of skipping the part about competent ownership & front office being a prerequisite.

The franchise has been gifted 3 generational players in a row, and have rolled through enough coaches to firmly put the onus on the decision makers of this franchise.

Well yeah, the ownership part goes without saying, though I’m not putting the blame on the Pels for Zion being a shite basketball player.

I’m putting the blame on the Pels for refusing to admit Zion is a shite player and doubling/tripling down on running it back
