D wright gets 2 year for 6 million and we pick up and over pay AFA?

Hope we can grab Delfino.

Aminu is going to become the Dennis Rodman of SFs. Rodman didn't hit double digit boards until he was 29. Aminu has seen a 3 rebound jump each year. Only a matter of time

He was 11th in the league in DRB% last season.

Better than Al Jefferson, Garnett, Larry Sanders, Tyson Chandler... etc.

I know he's kind of a 3/4 but he was definitely the highest 3 on the list.

He was 20th overall in TRB%.

He's only 22. He may not have any offensive game, but he has the makings of an elite defender and rebounder, which is a valuable skill.

What does Wright do that Miller doesn't? He's just another 3 and D guy right? If they have faith in Miller then bringing in a guy like Wright would stunt his growth.

Miller fouls at a significantly high rate bc of his lack of athleticism. Are you sure he's on the roster? Not guaranteed deal.

He better be if they are letting shooters like Wright and Garcia get away.

While I'll take your word for it that he is less athletic, Miller does look a bit stiff, he also was a rookie which no doubt lead to him being out of position which leads to more fouls. And I'm not saying Miller is better than Wright, just that they provide much the same thing. If the choice is Miller/Dalembert vs. Wright/Withey I think you go with Miller/Dalembert.

Good points. For the record, I like miller a lot. I'm just frustrated with the number for aminu. Would of liked a two year deal at a smaller rate. Seems reasonable to me. Would Dalembert come here?

Not sure on Dalembert but you have to think that's their general direction. Veteran center > Veteran SF at this point.

Yeah I would have liked 2 year 6 million more. I think AFA has such a high ceiling and is underrated. Maybe, just maybe he'll get some semblence of offense to go along with his above average defense and rebounding. I think the Rodman comparison wasn't too terrible for him.

We haven't attracted an UFA besides Aminu. Hopefully that changes with winning.

I fail to grasp the significance of how attracting an RFA like Evans is different from attracting a UFA.

What a waste of fricking money. He is garbage. I would not mind giving him the league minimum to be a back up but not 3.7 mil. I wish I was a tall black man because it seems you need very little skill to get paid in the NBA.

We traded for Evans essentially. If sac would of paid him the same, we wouldn't have him. Seems like a clear point.

Hopefully this means less disappearing acts from AFA.

Uh, but SAC wasn't going to match. We attracted a free agent to come here, just like we did last year with Ryan Anderson. What does it matter if they are RFAs or UFAs?

Overspending isn't the same as attracting dude. This debate is irrelevant.
