Was that entire OP just an attempt to compare Monty losing his job and his family in a horrific accident to Willie Green starting off badly in his first year as a coach?

What in the world.
Just tell your mommy to sign up.

Exactly. Our fricking top 3 players (and some other key role players) are all very verbal about their spiritual beliefs, so Willie being the head man, really works for this group of players.
We basically had the opposite persona at head coach last year and look how well that worked. Dude was way more preoccupied with things other than basketball. And we played like shite for him. It’s not like Willie spends all day tweeting about things that don’t match up with what he believes in. He simply gives thanks to God and he focuses on basketball and being a decent human being to his players.
Make the playoffs and lose a damn game to a historically good team that is well rested and people lose their damn minds and grasp at straws at things to nitpick about.
We have the best damn coach in the league for the group we have. His only weakness is rotations at times, but he shows growth in that area as well, even if sometimes if it’s on the fly in the middle of a game.
Let’s just enjoy having this guy lead our group. He’s basically a young Monty 2.0. Treat the guy right and we will have a top 5 coach in the league for years to come.
