NBDL?? That is a blast from the past.

NBDL - National Basketball Development League: 2001-2005
NBADL - NBA Development League (D-League): 2005 - 2017
NBA Gatorade League (G League): 2017 - Present

Can we update the thread title?

The only news articles seem to be coming out of Shreveport, Jackson, and Pensacola.

The uptick in fans based on the location of a d-league team will likely be negligible at best.

I know it's not the same as baseball, but when the zyphers were affiliated with the Astros, there was a major shift in the Nola MLB fan base.

I'm not a fan of the NBA, but I would love to see them adopt the MLB draft model. No one declares for the draft. Double it to 4 rounds. Put more money into the D-league to keep marginal players from going over seas.

This is something they need to look at. They need to make it attractive and/or financially appealing for players to play in the G League.

I've heard that it's going to be in Jackson.
