Is this a top 2 most important game in Hornican history?

It's huge. Beat them and you might break them.

Not gonna lie. I’m nervous as hell about this one.

Win, and the Lakers might just pack it in. Lose and we basically have to win out to be sure we even make the playin.

The Pels have by far the easier schedule of the teams they are competing against for the play-in spots. They also have the better team.

I am just wondering what has to happen for the Lakers to give up and just shut it down. I don’t think the Lakers are going to make the playoffs, but I want them to shut it down to lead to us receiving their pick and it getting exceedingly better.

This is how it feels like it might finish.

The Lakers are on a 4 game losing streak. I imagine they throw everything they have at us tonight. If they lose, they are out of it. We just need to survive the initial onslaught, like we did last week.

Hayes is gonna have to step his game the frick up tonight cause AD is already not a great matchup for us and even though we've contained him the last few times, feels like he is gonna try and go for like 40 like he did the first two times he played us after leaving.

We need JV to throw some grown man fouls on Toni. She is already hurt, so a couple elbows to the face will probably do her in for the night. Alternatively, her flow may be heavy tonight and her menstrual cramps may keep her from playing heavy minutes.

Jonas will be a big part of it too.

Needs to be physical, just get the sense AD has circled this game as his return and like they accused us of doing, he was probably a healthy scratch yesterday and is looking to come out and set a tone.

Which he can do in spurts. He's just soft mentally over a long season.

Who would have thought our last game against the Lakers would be a must win for THEM, not us.

It's pretty much a must win for us to have a chance at keeping the pick

All the pressure is on the Lakers tonight. We may not get their pick, but a loss doesn't knock us out of the playing game. A Lakers loss all but knocks them out and ensures we keep their pick.

Jonas needs to make AD hurt. I don’t give a frick if he fouls out. I’m sure Nance could body up AD too. Make his arse quit, beat the Lakers and make their arse quit the season too.

IDk---I think the pick is more of a lock than anything else.

The lakers are currently 8th in worse record. They would need the Wiz, Knicks, Spurs and Pels to completely shite the bed over the last 6 games or so AND they would need to win the Play-in. Not impossible, but odds are overwhelmingly in our favor to get that pick

If the Lakers make the Play In, a healthy Lebron + AD would have a punchers chance of winning twice to make the playoffs and end up with the 15th pick.

Oh def agree with that---just saying a lot has to happen in their favor for that to occur. The obvious one is Lebron's health and the fact that they haven't been good even when playing together all year. For them to pull it all together in 6 games would be magical, to say the least.
