What was your best concert?
For me, and I have been to many. Boston back in the early 80's. Saw them with a very good friend and a couple of dates. I eventually married my date...
They had not played "Hitch a Ride" which is my favorite Boston song by 10 fold. I was almost disappointed till they hit the stage for a second encore and played that song for 15 mins... I thought the roof was going to come off the Omni (there was once such a place) in Atlanta....
Way awesome !!!!!!

I have been to Brad Paisley and Jay-Z/Kanye which were both amazing concerts. I am going to Clapton in a few weeks which I expect to be awesome as well

Foo Fighters at the HOB in New Orleans on the Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace tour.
Awesome to see such a huge band in such an intimate venue. Dave was out of his mind that night. He played Stacked Actors while standing on the bar that used to be on the left side when facing the stage
ETA: Rage at Voodoo later that same month is a very close second.

I am going to get some heat for this but I saw Coldplay in the NOLA arena. By far the most impressive/best show I have ever seen. Not my favorite show but definitely the best.

Ok, a bit off the beaten path, but definitely local. Dr. John and Allan Toussaint doing a tribute to Professor Longhair at the Jazz Fest before the old Grandstand burned down. It was on a stage in the stables with two baby grands up there. I sat up on a stall dividing wall to see, and Helen Mirren and Taylor Hackford were right below me.
That, and Springsteen at LSU in 1984--Born to Run tour--close to four hours long. When the band took a break, he stayed and played acoustic. At 2 1/2 hours, they left the stage, then played an hour-plus encore. Unbelievable.
