YOU could put on a concert with 5 new wave bands, but you must...

make 10 grand and you have to pay each band 10 grand. that's 40 you must make up with ticket sales, concessions, parking, etc. The normal deal. That said, who do you invite and why? 5 bands and they must be of the new wave and it has to be the CURRENT band. In other words, INXS with Hutchence can't happen. This band could be still together or broken up. YOu wanna make your money back and then some. Who you got and why are they your choice(s)?

Depeche Mode and The Cure for the gate, mostly. They still have huge followings. XTC, Gary Numan and Devo because I want to see that show. Tears For Fears as an alternate.

Throw in New Order as all three are still relevant. Talk Alan Wilder and Peter Hook into playing the gigs with their old bands and you won't need 2 more. But for the sake of argument, get Echo and the Bunnymen on the bill with OMD and I'll pay a premium price to see that concert.
