He was mentally unstable (most of his songs were about suicide), abusive, and it was clear that he wasn't long for this world.
He was also an interesting musical artist who had far more potential to produce decent work than Lil Pump, Kodak Black, and Lil Xan who are completely bereft of any musical talent.

His last album he put out was something I’ve never heard from a hip hop artist. I mean I don’t think you’d categorize it as hip hop.
Whether older people like it or not X was a light for teens who dealt with depression and those who felt like they don’t fit in with what society classified as normal. Saw his last Instagram post was a message that he was gonna do a charity event for Florida this weekend

I think the reason that X was as successful as he was was due to the fact that he wasn’t afraid to let people know he had problems.
Society in general, and especially hip hop, has a stigma against suicide and mental health and X rapping about it brought awareness to the fact that it affects everyone at random. No one is immune.
He did a lot of awful things when he was younger but from what I’ve read and heard these last few months he was genuinely trying to be a better human being.
As you said though, almost all of his songs were depressing suicidal songs. I always assumed he’d die young, but I figured it would be from suicide.
His die hardfans are going to take it especially rough, because most of the ones that I know would be in that depression category. I’m not his biggest fan by any means, but he had a few good songs and I actually listened to him over the weekend. Even I’m sad about it. Just hate that this shite still happens in the world. Hope they catch the bastards that did it.

quote:exactly. I do worry that some of today’s youth will take his death too hard and attempt suicide. He was only a few months older than me. RIP.

I agree. Sounds like this jabroni deserved his dirt nap. He won’t be missed by anyone significant.
He beat a pregnant woman senseless. Some people DO deserve to die.

He made garbage emo rap music and was a terrible person. I’m not gonna celebrate his death but I couldn’t care less that someone this shitty died.

Crime glorifying music? You have no idea what you’re talking about. XXX spreaded nothing but peace and positivity despite multiple controversies. The message was always pure and that’s why X was special. Gtfo

Can’t argue with a bunch of racist hicks who already don’t care for rap music and wouldn’t understand to begin with. X was a fantastic artist and whoever did this will get their day.

Anyone significant? I mean besides rap superstars and celebrities paying tribute to him, sure he won’t.
