I don't know dude not trying to step on toes if your work there or something but i do know that when bands such as candle box or saving able come you hear radio advertising when a tx band come crickets. That's what I was referring to

the talent buyer at the varsity that's been working there for the past year has placed plenty of radio ad's fwiw... but he's only been there for a year.

Honestly, anyone interested in going to a TX/Red Dirt Country show is probably not listening to mainstream radio...

I for one like how JW promotes his arse off here but doesn't do it obnoxiously. He makes sure he's only talking to the little group that he knows will enjoy the show instead of blasting it all over the board.

That dudes just doing a great job all around and JW your bar has very quickly turned into my favorite one in BR

but good point indeed.

Yeah It's been about a year I've been out the music seen since my wife has been preggers. so that could be part of it

Also I guess the stations could be pushing it more too. I know it's bigger budget but the t club does a shite load of radio and stuff.

Eta very true l boogie but it would be nice to expand some of these guys beyond the typical small group in br who's in the know.

I completely agree, but anyone in BR who isn't already "in the know" isn't going to recognize the name Will Hoge on the radio and therefore won't be anymore inclined to go to the show than they were before they heard the ad.

Agree with this too. I don't get to BR often, but on the rare occasions when I find myself there, M+W will be my bar of choice. Beautiful space with sweetheart bartenders, awesome acoustics and a great vibe. J-Dubs is pulling some really quality acts and he is a super nice guy. Handsome, too

Thanks for the kind words about M+W guys .... reached out to the agent, but crickets. It's WME, so they can be dismissive. I have contacts there through the movie industry, but the Varsity or Manship would have a better crack at him is my guess.
