Is this even a question? Would you rather see a bar band, or go to a sold out arena and watch Panic destroy everyone in attendance

Where is JRAD even playing? Surely it has to be an afterparty somewhere...they aren't headline material

Yeah, you're an idiot.

Panic is gonna be chock full of coked out chompers wasted on Jack Daniels yelling out the lyrics to Tall Boy. I saw WSP Halloween in 2008 and 2013. The 08 show wasn't bad, but my jah that 13 Set II was painfully boring.

JRAD by a country mile. And with all respect to UBD Ill take Metzger & Hamilton over Herring any day of the week.

I can never understand how a band having a crowd that does drugs and drinks whiskey and sings the lyrics to said band's songs can be lobbed up as an insult.

But I wasn't raised to be a huge bloody complaining pussyvag either. I guess I'm the kind of guy that could have fun no matter where I go or what I do. You should try it out.

Also, I'm personal friends with Marco Benevento's manager as well, and get to see basically anything Marco is in and does for letting the guy crash at my house for jazz fest. But I'd still take Panic on Halloween, and pay for my ticket, than pass them up for Jrad.

Nope. You can't even enjoy a panic halloween show. You're a pussy.

And i would look you in your pussy eyes and say it to your face. We've been over this before.

08 was fun, I liked the Born on the Bayou opener. Coconuts and the JJ Cale songs were cool in 13, other than that is was a snoozer.

I can't even fairly compare those two shows to the straight destruction that JRAD laid at the Joy this past Jazz Fest. Not even the same ballpark.

JRAD rocks/peaks so much harder than panic, i don't get your distinction

OK brah. No way a GD set is capable of this, I don't care if Metallica is playing it.

I guess I've been away from the music board for too long. Where did all the lolWSP love come from?

Sorry. That wasn't a vote. I just can't see the name WSP without lol'ing. Obviously JRAD is the far superior choice.

But BRO, Heady rages hard than you

You're arguing for a grateful dead cover band....let that sink in.

And if you're complaining about Panic's 2013 show, then I don't know what to tell you. That's probably the best 3.0 Halloween show they've done. Panic must not be for you...or you're just a huge puss. I'm going with the latter

And you're arguing for a band whose lead guitarist died over a decade ago.

I'm going see JRAD in Denver for the first time just before Christmas. I hope to god I can rage harder than any Nolaween I've ever been to but I just cannot see how that will be possible to do to a dead setlist. Tell me what I'm missing besides WSP sux. Is it some drug I've never done?

His work on the 9.19.14 The Eleven is literally better than anything Herring has ever done.

Brooooo, you are fricking killing me.

I love Grateful Dead as much as anyone, and Jrad kicks arse... but the guy that wrote and tabbed all those "Jrad" songs you cream your pants for died in 95, so what the frick is your point?

It's ok for one band to carry on a legacy, but not ok for the other? That's a pussy pov. You obviously can't be objective here.
