Why do 95% of tour buses have Mississippi plates?

Seems like everyone from R Kelly to Ryan Adams has tour buses with MS plates. In fact the only bus I can remember that didn't was John Mellencamp who had all Indiana plates.
I guess that's where the biggest company/ies are located but was curious if it was a tax thing or what

Makes sense. It's where modern music got its start.

How many tour busses have do see? I rarely see one and the last I notice is the damn license plate. I am always curious as hell who's behind the blacked out windows though.

Most that I see, actually have Tennessee plates, based out of Nashville.
If an act plays the casino circuit a lot,it makes sense to lease from a company out of Mississippi ,or Oklahoma. I doubt that the act really owns the bus. Of course licensing costs also come into play, and Mississippi is probably pretty cheap for that,so are Tennessee and Indiana.
Most of them that I see, don't actually have the artist's name on them.
