She had some soul. Grateful Dead wrote a song about her. She and Pigpen used to get it on, I remember from one of the books I read them saying that him and her would grab a bottle of Soco and lock the bedroom door and bang it out for hours.

Yes, I just linked a 7 minute song: Bird Song

People don't look at Jerry as having a very good voice. I disagree, I love his voice so I guess I could put him up in this category.

Dylan is one that I have always loved.

the way i like to think of some of these people is that they have a bad voice, but they are good singers

But their songs sung by someone with perfect pitch would be ruined.

REK's Wild Wind just wouldn't sound as good if it wasn't a nasally, brooding lament

Im surprised no one has said John Bell. I think he has the worst voice in the music industry but Panic fans will fight you for saying that.

I almost got in a fist fight with a buddy defending the Moe. lead singer (name escapes me)

We went and saw them in Central Park when I was in high school. The show was awesome and I really enjoy moe. but damn that cat's voice is not too kind on the ears. My buddy was hot when I said that.

Really? Eddie seems to kinda mumble and squeal his way through it to me. Chris Cornell on the other hand can sing.

Absolutely agree with you about Chris Cornell. I'd say the best singer out of the whole " grunge" era. Has a very wide range.
